We have been to Stradford-upon-Avon several times, MAD museum was always planned never visited. Today as the weather outside was terrible a visit here was planned.nInitially we thought this was too small a place, we will be done in an hour, is the ticket price worth it. But it is worth and more. This place kept 3 preteens and a toddler completely engaged for 2 hours and more if not for the closing time. The interactive exhibits were such wonders and the build your own thing was such fun.nSo visit, worth every pence.
My daughter was there with her school about 1 year ago. We were walking close to the Mad Museum and she said she would like to go there again so I went there with her. I really enjoyed it she also liked everything. Very interesting place, especially for children, so they can see creativity
The MAD mechanical and art design museum was great fun for us adults and the kids too. Lots of great exhibits/installations that are turned on by hovering over the buttons. Also a few large marble exhibits allow hands on fun. Reasonably priced at £25 for family of four
Small but beautiful museum, very interactive and fun for kids too!
We may have misinterpreted the information or set our expectations too high, but we found the experience to be quite disappointing, especially considering the high entry fee. The place is essentially just about observing what others have created, with no real insights into how things work or any hands-on workshops to engage with. It took us less than 30 minutes to walk through, mostly waving our hands over interactive buttons. It would have been even quicker if we hadn’t tried to let the kids explore and interact with each display. For the price, a more educational and genuinely interactive experience would have been much better.
