In the heart of Stratford-Upon-Avon you will find Stratford Leisure Centre. The leisure centre offers a great range of activities to both local people and visitors to the Warwickshire area with a gym, swimming pools, sports hall, all weather pitches, group exercise programme, café, meeting room, sauna, nursery and crèche. The gym houses some of the latest gym equipment including an interactive sports wall, the two swimming pools offer our Swim England accredited Swim School swimming lessons as well as a range of wet activities, the 8 court sports hall offers a range of sports from badminton to tennis, football to netball and we also have 4 outdoor floodlit all weather soccer pitches (one of which are marked for tennis). The sports hall also plays host to a variety of group exercise classes during the week.

I have been a member of Stratford Leisure Center for about four years. It’s a fantastic place for sports and leisure. Last year the Gym was upgraded with latest technologies. There is something for all age groups. Stratford leisure Centre consists of Swimming, Gym, Sauna, Stream, Fitness classes, Courts & pitches, activities and so on

Oh dear......the Staff seem to be struggling with manpower shortages according to the Duty Manager Basically this means that if you have a class or exercise session that requires equipment being set up then you shouldn't expect the class to start on time. I've been going to this Centre on and off for the last 10 years or so....and getting setup done consistently and on time has been an ongoing struggle.

Visited yesterday with my grandaughter & husband , firstly no showers apparently they are being, refurbished , the strong smell of urine when you enter the changing room is overpowering , & my husband said his cubicle stunk as well , obviously needing a good clean , the small pool was fine , the kids were having a splashing time. I'm not sure the pool should be operating with no showers available . When I mentioned the smell in the changing rooms to the lady on the desk she seemed unconcerned , &  not surprised which bothered me a lot, also there should be an easily seen notice saying no showers available ,she said it's mentioned on their website which is not acceptable !!!!whoever  is the manager needs some retraining & his cleaning staff also, when I visited several years ago it was  never particularly clean then . I personally would think twice about revisiting !!!

I used this pool whilst I was staying in Stratford on Avon to do an early morning swim and needed some exercise - I needed to register with a card and whilst I had found where to find the  pool was what I had not done was to find out the length of the pool which I assumed was 25 metres - I asked the receptionist and they did not know the answer, hence the assumption - it was not until I had completed the same number of lengths in the pool that it had taken longer - asked a fellow swimmer who must have been told that it was 33 metres - I now know from the website which confirms this length!!  Otherwise polite, and an OK sort of pool - you will need to take an old £1 coin or a token for the lockers.  It has 6 lanes but use double lanes for the lane swimming in the morning  Either pay for membership or pay as you go  Car park is near by

It's a alright place but they are really bad at picking up the phone when I try to call and this blonde women who works at the gym is horrible I used the weights once and she told me not to, so I complied and then she reported me and got me banned And she enjoyed it because when she saw me she was the happiest person because she knew I was banned , dont go there if ur a junior it's horrible

Went to Stratford-upon-Avon on a  coach tour, the tour started and finished at the centre

I use the Wellbeing Suite, it's for people who are less able bodied. Would highly recommend.

As far as the equipment in the gym and the cleanines its amazing as for the sauna, steam room and changing rooms they are suffering a lack of proper care. It feels a little unhygienic and dirty which is a shame. Most of the staff I interact with are professional and polite. If the cleaning was where it should be I would have left 5

I really enjoy going to this gym and the facilities are good, however recently one of the members of staff approached me and made me feel really uncomfortable and they were watching me work out. This is something nobody should have to deal with, especially a teenage girl. I now have had to change the day and times I go to the gym to avoid this member of staff, otherwise I just feel uncomfortable as hell. So as I said really good gym but I wish I didn't have to worry about being stared at or talked to. :/

I have just come out of the Fam Features pool activity with my 8 month old baby. The pool was freezing…even for me let alone her. She was trembling and started to turn blue so we got out and went to the changing room which had the AIRCON on. My poor baby was freezing and crying her eyes out. Will not be returning.
