Great large pub in the heart of York, and great value for money as it is a JD Wetherspoon Pub too. The food and drink was great, the staff great and the toilets are nice and clean. Would definitely go there again!
This is the better spoons in York. Can get busy as it's full of students and families. Tend to be a queue in busier evenings. Hospitality is nice and plenty of seating areas
Decent enough. Great prices on beer. Food reasonably priced though the XL mixed grill isn't worth the money. Cutlery was dirty last time but otherwise decent enough for a bit of cheap food and a pint.
Absolutely disgusted we waited in a queue for 90 minutes,when we got to the door they said they had to close the kitchen, why didnt anyone go up the queue to explain this earlier, it was cold and damp yet no one came. No customer service skills whatsoever, definitely wont recommend to anyone.
Typical Wetherspoons, great value food & drink. Great table service, friendly staff. Didn't wait long for food and drinks.
Put good measures in place for Covid and food up to scratch, but service for drink orders from the table are very slow indeed. Much slower than other Wetherspoons for some reason?
Still a good atmosphere despite less tables and screens. Food is always hot and quick. Drinks served with a smile.
