Visited this evening, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food and service was excellent. Dog friendly which is a bonus. Would highly recommend the steak. Will definitely be back.
We visited here in the middle of September for the OH birthday... And talk about it so often by far one of the best meals ever! And such a lovely atmosphere. I think our waiter was called Adam and what a laugh he was, such an asset to the team for sure. Will definitely be returning!
Dropped in just for a drink and ended up eating here also. Beer was really good and we really enjoyed the food. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the main man even arranged a taxi for us when we were ready to return to our hotel. Covid-19 procedures were very good.

Really nice place good selection of beer and food in a good location too. Didn't catch the guys name that served ustall guy with long blonde hair but he instantly made us feel comfortable and was very laid-back, attentive and easy to talk to. Would recommend boy
We were on our way towards the river when we walked by, there were only a couple tables taken. We actually decided to double back & give the Pavement Vaults a try, we were so glad that we did! It soon filled up towards 1pm & the food was great! Have saved it in my map for future visits to York.
Very Friendly Staff, very COVID friendly measures in place, great choice of ales and lagers, also drank a few wines which were lovely. Very central location. Would definitely recommend a visit
One of the highlights of coming to York is eating in this place. We have eaten here several times and I have to say the food has been delicious every time! The staff are friendly and very welcoming too. Highly recommended!
