Lovely old pub with fireplace.  Nice cosy atmosphere.  Decided not to eat there as felt prices were quite high.  Would happily come again for a drink or 2.  Staff really friendly.

After three visits recently, the verdict is the same: Very nice pub food with friendly but poor service - all at premium restaurant prices. The Palmerston believes it is something that it is not. Lower the prices and there wouldn’t be any complaints.

Great drinks and staff super friendly. Loved the fire. The food was ok but not mind blowing
