Dannnng. What can I say. This place is pretty great. Came here for breakfast and had the French toast. Probably the best French toast I've had in a long time. Really good balance of sweet alongside the crispy thin bacon rashers. Crispy heaven . The locally sourced coffee was also really nice. Just go here. You won't regret it.
I love the French toast at this brunch/lunch spot. It hits every time . Its the only thing I've had everytime I've visited. It's trendy with a somewhat Scandinavian feel. And it's nice sitting outside, people watching while you eat .
Had a last Sunday drink here. Very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Loved the nibbles. Fresh and tasty.
Food was very good, strange chips not served with a burger but anywa. But the service was bizarre. At least 3 wait staff were working, but the 2 ladies didn't seem to do anything, including seating guests, taking payments and ignored the bell for a meal being ready. The male server was the only one doing anything
Good brunch. Very good prices for what’s offered on brunch. Would recommend when in the area. The coffee was just ok though. The bacon sandwich was filled very well.
Relaxed and efficient service. The best bacon sarnie I've ever had. Lovely coffee. Great atmosphere in the afternoon as it gets busier with locals stopping in for a drink and snack. Seating area outside is a winner. You could easily find a reason to come here more than once a day
It was a nice atmosphere, brought the little ones for the Halloween party which was surprisingly good and child friendly. Fraser was very helpful with the menu and very friendly
Was craving something sweet and found Parlez on Google only 5 mins up the road. Parlez is a cute spot. Ordered the french Toast with bacon, the Vegan French Toast will be my order on my next visit. And and Oat Flat White which came in the cutest cup. The French toast was tasty the vibe of the place was nice. Good place for a quick breaky. The cocktail menu and happy hour options means I simply must return
Okay, so five stars for everything but four stars overall? Whaaaa??? Let me explain: everything about the place is superb. The food is delicious and homemade even the baked beans are made in-house from scratch. The staff were friendly and attentive without being invasive. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing, and our 8-month-old was very welcome. I had the breakfast and, between the delicious bacon and the punnet of mushrooms, I found very little to complain about the perfectly poached eggs were a little cold. So why no fifth star? It's on the pricey side. £14 for breakfast, while I truly believe it was worth the money on a cost:value ratio, it might be a little prohibitive for some. However, as an occasional treat after a baby sensory class, I highly recommend it.
I've been here a couple of times and the French toast is amazing. However I often find the service to be pretty poor. I often end up waiting around 20 minutes for someone to take my order and see others that arrived later being served first. I have given up on multiple occasions and just gone somewhere else. It's a shame because the place has a very nice relaxed atmosphere and I have enjoyed eating breakfast there before.
