"The Kennington - Awarded BEST NEWCOMER in the Great British Pub Awards 2013 for London & the South East!Opened in March 2012,we offer a comfortable and relaxing environment for our local community and businesses, serving delicious food in a contemporary pub environment, with good old-fashioned hospitality & a smile! Check out our Light Lunch deal - Thursday & Friday!Although primarily an adult environment, as most pubs are, well behaved children are allowed and we offer a children's menu too! We just ask that the kids leave by 7pm, ‘coz we feel that The Kennington turns into a more adult space after that. We are also proud to be a dog friendly pub. We look forward to welcoming you to The Kennington very soon."

It’s a restaurant with a big bar in the middle. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiters served us in a kind, welcoming way. The food are also pretty good, especially the fries and the burgers. Kid-friendliness: They don’t really accept kids under 18 after 7 since it’s going to be a bar. I think it’s pretty understandable and it makes sense.
Had a lovely Roast beef lunch on Sunday, my only regret is that it was warm rather than hot but besides that it was a beautiful meal and enjoyed by us all, this was our fourth visit for a meal at at The Kennington and definitely won’t be our last. Staff are so very polite friendly and attentive to everyone. Thank you the meal was lovely. Oh and I love that this place is dog friendly. Thank you and see you again soon for another delicious treat.
We had Sunday roast chicken, duck and the veggie one on that day, and we all like them. The dishes were all tasty the sauce was a more sweet type. It’s not so crowded at noon on Sunday, only 30-40% full during lunch time.
Excellent... Absolutely delicious food. Tried a selection of starter and main courses all had great flavours and texture. Good selection of beers. Tried the Guinness but quick look around the other tables without punters regularly drinking, its doesn't hit home. Staff were so helpful lovely and very obliging. This wee diamond of a place was recommended to me and it was a good call. i visited the restrooms. When they were busy and they were still able to keep toilets clean. Plenty of tv's but not too loud to intrude on good conversation. Definitely management and staff working well together. A great atmosphere and buz. Kennington has come out of covid recession and looking forward to a bright future. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening.
Really really good Sunday Roast! Good options to choose from, but I got the beef and it was great. Came with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, gravy and veg. Good, classic dessert options too. The service was good and was able to make a reservation on the day. Overall would come back!
The place was busy, lively. The food was great, priced a little more than usual i found but definitely amazing food.. for a pub! The staff were friendly prompt and on the ball table service here was great. The music was loud and we were visiting the on a busy night so the place was quite full but again the staff were very good at making sure we were taken care of. Dogs welcome at this pub not too sure about disability toilets but definitely a welcome accommodating place. Would suggest calling ahead just to make sure there is space for a wheelchair. : i thoroughly enjoyed the service and the vibe here : Thank you to the staff and kitchen staff :
For the last 11 years, a group of friends and I have been going to The Kennington for a long and leisurely annual reunion lunch. Lee, Steve and the team are very welcoming, and the service and food quality are very good.Food: 5/5
Nice one ! Very friendly service, re-assuring, and the right informality. The grilled Chicken Cesar not much of the smoked was delicious, great selection of ingredients and well dressed love a well dressed salad, yum. T'was so good that I asked for the dessert card, and the bananoffee pie lurked at me. Home made for sure. Huge slice t'was not cheap, but sooooo worth it ! . Sooo delicious and filling every last nook and cranny. Glass alcohol free cider in the side, just over £26. Sooo delicious. So filling. Sigh. I'll have to come back for another selection. Worth it ? Oooh yessss!
Visited here on a Friday night just to get some food and drinks whilst we waited for our friends. Bar was busy when we entered so had to wait around for a while before we had to ask if we can sit down at the tables to order food. We then had to go up and order the food ourselves as it seemed no one was coming near us to take our orders. Staff were too busy talking amongst themselves more than anything else. Food was just your average bar food, nothing amazing and fine for what it was. The atmosphere was weird but in a good way. I'd recommend it for a few drinks but wouldn't be rushing back for some food.
Fabulous, friendly pub, run by great staff, and it's even dog friendly!Food: 5/5
