Had a great time here for bottomless brunch with my mum. Nice to have a couple of vegan food options too. Staff Beth and Ben I think their names were were lovely and kept the drinks flowing! Would definitely come back
Particularly enjoyed the upstairs room, light, comfortable. Mind you, the room has a few v.large tv's that can distract from a conversation, but can be a good sports menu. Attractive pub overall. Long may it last.Service: 4/5
Our new favourite! Best brunch in Newcastle, amazing drinks, delicious food, Beth was fantastic, loved the 80s tunes that were playing...already got the next one booked in! Love, love, love it in here!Food: 5/5
Found the possible oldest pub in Newcastle. Possibly best fish and chips so far in three weeks of taste testing around UK.Food: 5/5
This place was great, cozy but upbeat atmosphere! The staff, Rhi and Ross were great bartenders. Super friendly and very helpful! Would definitely recommend this place as a great stop for the pub atmosphere. Lots of TVs to watch sports on as well.Food: 5/5
Really lovely. My girlfriend and I were in Newcastle for the day and we were having a blast at this Inn. The barkeeper was a real sweetheart. The food was really great too and the Shamrock on the Guiness' were great and a lovely touch. Would surely return for another bite and a tasteful drink.Food: 5/5
Henrik & Rhi took extra special care of us today. We came for bottomless brunch for our anniversary. They have been very attentive throughout our visit making sure everything is taken care of. We had a very warm reception. Food came out in good time and our drinks were always topped up. Many thanks Food: 4/5
We had the best bottomless brunch here today. Beth, Scott and Dean couldn't do enough for us - they kept our drinks flowing and always noticed when we were close to finishing a drink so that they could take our next order so we were never without a drink. The food came fast and it was delicious. It was our first visit to the Old George Inn after a recommendation, it certainly won't be our last. Thank you to your 3 wonderful staff who looked after us today and gave us such a fantastic experience.
Old George Inn is a lovely building in Newcastle City centre. Drinks served here were very expensive & rather poor quality. I don't expect an ale to be flat after only 10 minutes. Bar service was awesome & welcoming though!Service: 4/5
Absolutely amazing experience from this pub. Would definitely go back. Hidden away is this special gem of a place in Newcastle. The staff are so amazing and friendly, happy to help in any way they can, giving up suggestions and options. The food was delicious and delivered in a quick manner. Their service, the atmosphere and the friendliness are what you hope in a pub but sometimes never truly get. We got that and more. Fantastic experience!!
