A traditional lovely looking pub in Newcastle city centre. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and a good choice of drinks that were served at realistic prices and of good quality.Service: 4/5
Excuse me, I would like to bring a matter to the attention of the owner regarding the hiring practices of the establishment. During my visit, I encountered an unpleasant situation at the bar. While enjoying a drink with friends, I politely approached the staff to request a glass of water. Regrettably, my request was met with an inappropriate response and the use of offensive language. I am deeply disappointed with the service I received and feel compelled to discuss this matter with the owner. I kindly request an opportunity to engage in a constructive conversation to address this issue and ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Have always loved this pub .. ever since I was in my late teens till now I’m 54 .. this has a great mix of people and no matter the day or time you come in the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly .. the bar staff are characters too and are very funny when you get to know them!
The bar manager old woman with white hair is a miserable person who doesn’t like young woman in the bar, even the other staff members don’t like her! She was going to serve us then told us to leave as we are apparently to loud! Even the other bar staff said we had did nothing wrong! Honestly jealous miserable old woman!Service: 1/5
Another good pub we visited on our day trip down to Newcastle. Friendly staff and a good choice of drinks that were served at decent prices. Would definitely recommend.Service: 5/5
Tiny place and the carpets haven't been changed in about 25 years but great pint and cheaper drinks before 6pm daily.Food: 3/5
Beautifully inexpensive alcohol served by classy knowledgeable staff, the locals were great craic and made us feel really welcome, the best bar I've been to in years, great for an early pint Food: 5/5

The only reason I knocked a star off was due to the amount of choice on the treble offer. Staff where fantastic it was really busy not too much if a seating area but this cannot be helped because of the shape and size of pub.Service: 5/5
