Actors were strong and it was funny - no spoilers in this post! We were sat towards the back of the upper circle but still had a good view of the stage. Ice-cream sold in the interval. Ladies toilets upstairs were small and with onl two cubicles, expect to queue, but hats the same with most older theatres. Posters up the stairs from decades gone by as it's a long running show maybe the longest running West End show?!
We visited the theatre to see the Mousetrap...and I really enjoyed it. Interesting plot, great stage and beautiful venue. The staff are also friendly and the service is really good!
No spoilers here. Mousetrap is an interesting show and at sedate pace giving you time to absorb the characters. Great for a matinee. There’re lots of links to keep you guessing to who you think did it. The Theatre is old, tired looking and need of some TLC - especially the toilets. £3 for bottle of coke isn’t too bad but there’s plenty of places close by to buy snacks and drinks if you’re frugal. The only issue we had was the front 5 rows in the stalls were pretty chilly, even though it was warm outside! It wasn’t just us. Most at the front put their coats back on and one asked for a hot drink in the interval so she could warm up! I did ask for blanket and we were moved to a warmer spot which turned out to be the Royal Box, so good on the staff for going the extra mile. Thanks for seat Queen Elizabeth. I’d recommend it to friends telling them to take a coat.
Me and my wife had a wonderful time watching the show on Saturday 15th April. Fantastic show. Sadly a gentleman became ill and had too be taken to the hospital. Hope he is OK. The staff were very efficient in dealing with the gent.
Brilliant play. Nice old theatre. Close to charring cross station.
Mousetrap, I know what all the hype is about this play. Lovely old theatre.
Lovely theater, classic one. Loved it.
Have been accessing Mousetrap supported trips and workshops for a few years now with my son who has ASC. The staff are amazing, very understanding of individuals difficulties, and incredibly supportive. My son gained his Bronze Arts Award with them this year. They have also enabled us to see West End shows that we would not normally get to see due to cost and access issues. A wonderful company that deserves lots of support.
BRILLIANT STAFF VERY HELPFUL AND UNDERSTANDING , actors and actresses put on a fab show each time .Loved the mousetrap theatre shows my son is autistic and loves their shows so much looking forward to going again this year hopefully .
The most boring thing I've ever witnesed in my life!!!There were no developed characters at all.Where was the tension?I was sleeping in one point and praying this to be over!No pace, actors were boared playing on stage!Such a gorgeous play transformed in such a stuped and unexiting 'thing'!How no one on stage got excited for a minute! There was a good actors and they really try to catch my attention but they were lost in the big nothing!!!Maybe 50 years ago this play was something, but now it's just pain for my soul and eyes!I am so sorry!!!
