I had a fall on the way to the theatre, so we asked for mobility assistance at the door. They were fabulous! They have a person specifically for the job of helping people who need it to get into the theater and to their seats accessibility director, I think. He was very kind and professional. When the show was over, he was right there, organizing us and helping us all back out. The theater was beautiful! The seats were comfortable. The atmosphere was cozy and had a fun buzz.
An excellent experience and a must visit. Very well organised and impressively arranged. My only issue was that the theatre gets very hot and stuffy - would be nice if they could cool it better. Other than that, I can't fault them as the venue is very well cared for.
Overall, the theatre is good. I'm a bit tall though and the seats are maybe slightly too small for me. I went to watch faulty towers, I wouldn't have said it was great, but my parents seemed to love it so that's good lol. For me, faulty towers gets a 2 out of 5 and a 5 out of 5 from my parents. Staff behind the bar seemed a bit inexperienced too, but we all have to start somewhere
Fawlty Towers was an excellent production. Lots of laughs in both halves. The theater is small, but beautiful. The Victorian gold ornate plasterwork and night sky ceiling are lovely. Those with long legs should book the front stalls or the front of the grand circle as the legroom is rather tight otherwise.
Went to see Fawlty Towers at Apollo Theatre. Great play with very good actors & british humour at its best, plenty of laughs, must see for devoted fans of the TV sitcom. The theatre interior is very pretty, the stalls seats in row G were good, the staff polite and helpful. Would happily visit again for Fawlty Towers part 2
Lovely theatre. Sat in seat A20. Hilarious comedy . All the actors were superb and sounded just like the real actors. just thought Manuel's accent could have been better. There was a technical fault towards the end, and when they restarted, felt it ended too quickly and some of the scenes may have been skipped.
Fawlty Towers at Apollo Theatre, we had the most entertaining time. The leading actors have their roles down to perfection and have the audience in stitches all throughout the performance, often bursting out in a loud appreciative applause. We had a private box for 3, lovely view of the stage except for a sliver where the reception desk was. We had to lean out to see that. But otherwise the chairs were comfortable, and the privacy priceless. Enjoyed a glass of bubbly at intermission.
The Fawtly Towers show was just as expected funny, with choas and madness. Lovely theatre with a great photo opportunity, with the front desk and props! The staff seemed quite disinterested, we found them not very welcoming and friendly which was a shame.
Seating is not the most comfortable, especially for performances over two hours long! Feels like the venue is better suited in the east end with cheaper performances, rather than the west end. It has all the good gold effect paint and glitzy stuff like you’d expect but it also feels like it could crumble to dust at any point. I strongly advise checking a seat view website before buying tickets or even considering this venue. As others have stated, some of the door staff are too abrupt and not kind or respectful.
Beautiful theatre and enjoyable experience. Seats are a bit tight for space but I think most theatres are like that. Be sure to book a good seat as I noticed others straining their necks to get a view of the show.
