Dined with friends. Great atmosphere, good-sized table in a comfortable corner. Good service from the staff. I had the salmon fillet. It was very tasty, especially with vegetables and sauce. My desert was chocolate fudge cake and custard. I was a bit disappointed with the cake but pleased it had chocolate and custard on it, lashings of custard or I may have had to send it back. Also, perhaps it should be in a bowl. The custard was spot on, delicious .
Utterly stunning food, fantastic service, the place was spotless and had a lovely pub atmosphere. This is the second fantastic meal I've had here.Food: 5/5
Staff very polite and friendly atmosphere welcoming traditional with a modern Twist decent wait time for food. Cannot comment on any other food as I've only had this rump steak. Steak was a little overdone I asked for medium rare it did get Pinker further down the stake as it was a bit thicker also lacked seasoning. Chips were just standard chunky chips quite Pleasant on your rings were nice and crispy mushroom good
Had a baby shower yesterday with 15 guests and the whole team were very helpful. We were able to decorate the room fully and the buffet food was plentiful, delicious and on time. We had a lovely afternoon, fantastic service and at a fantastic price. Thanks John and team for a perfect event.
We love The Millpool! Reservations is Definitely a must at least on weekends as they are booked solid. Food is very good, service is fast and friendly. There are 3 different areas to dine in not including the private party area which is another large room. We celebrated a "quiet" birthday with starters, burgers, and wine! They brought out a piece of Ultimate Chocolate cake with a lit candle which was a delight! I highly recommend The Millpool! Parking: Small parking in front with a few Disabled Parking. Larger parking area towards the back.
First time visiting with a friend from London, was recommended by a friend & also great reviews on Google too. Arrived without reservation, and whilst they were fully booked, the manager was amazing and managed to accommodate us in an alternative way and this made our day hence why I’m leaving a review. The Sunday roast was amazing. Really filling and delicious. No complaints.
Excellent choice of food, quality good too but a bit disconcerting that three of the four of us had our main meal, I could see mine sitting on the counter waiting to be delivered, server then took two trips to deliver four puddings all while my food was sitting going cold, when I said I was still waiting she just said "it won't be long" as if I couldn't see the thing sitting there!!! No apology, just plonked in front of me as she obviously didn't like me asking!
Met friends for an evening meal. So glad we booked ahead as the place was really busy. The service was efficient and we didn't have to wait too long before the food arrived after placing our order. Drinks could also be ordered at the table too. Menu choices were extensive and what you would expect from a pub. The food itself was good and arrived hot, so hadn't been sitting around on the hotplate for long. Only downside for us was that we kept having to move our chairs to allow a party to enter a side/function room as the tables were too close together for them to get past. Would I return? Definitely and would recommend the Millpool for a visit if asked.
