We had a lovely time at the Cov Oak. The food was absolutely yummy and the atmosphere was so welcoming from the moment we arrived. All the staff were friendly, but a special thank you to the bar staff — Cedric in particular — who really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Yvonne was also absolutely lovely. Can’t thank you all enough, we’ll definitely be back! x
What a great pub, i class this as my local despite having other pubs closer. The staff are really friendly. I come here as a lone female sometimes but always feel comfortable. I really like the special offers they have, I bring the rest of my family when they have them.nI've never had any issues with the food here and I'm quite fussy.nI think they should do bottomless hot drinks though and then I would stay here longer!!!

Booked a table in advance, staff gave it to another party without checking name on booking. Shoved us in a tatty back room with broken glass, tub of tipped cocktail sticks and other rubbish on the floor. Tables were. Quickly shoved together and we were left without enough chairs, menus and condiment tray. We wiped tables ourselves as beyond sticky and dirty. The guy thought it was amusing and didn’t care. Absolute disgrace of a greene king. Arguments going on at bar with other customers due to poor service. Food was mediocre. If we wasn’t in a rush to get to a timed venue we would have walked straight out. Will definitely not be returning here until staff have training and place is deep cleaned.nnEDIT, we were given the opportunity to return free of charge and to their credit we all had a lovely meal and things were much improved. Have adjusted my stars accordingly. Thank you
I have to say all the staff are welcoming and definitely shows that they have the training provided excellent service and we'll mannered. Also the pub it's self is inviting clean and tidy. Pleasant food well timed and good quality. All over great place and a lovely vibe. Thanks to all the staff
