Story

From a court of law to a Bar & Grill…

The Establishment Bar & Grill is an exciting, unique bar situated in the cobbled streets of the cathedral quarter in the city centre.
It is set in the the Old County Hall which dates back to 1783 and until the mid 80′s used to be the main court in Coventry.
The building is infamous as the place where the last public hanging in Coventry and Warwickshire took place.
Features from the old courtroom have been beautifully restored including the judge’s seat and the crown crest along with the viewing gallery and the dock.
The cells have been transformed into a unique dining area.
The Establishment Bar & Grill have kept a contemporary/vintage feel creating a homely environment to relax, enjoy food and drink in the company of friends, family and colleagues.

Just had the best steak ever....had it topped with bacon and cheese as a special anniversary treat!!! Staff friendly , service good, good food, great ambiance....(was The Establishment). Sympathetically restored interior, now bright and airy compared to the Establishment. Would recommend you try it for yourselves

Today it was busy in the garden. There were a few tables with empty glasses on them. We sat at one and asked the waitress kindly if she could clear our table or if she could send someone else to do it. She just said to move to another table without glasses. Weird place!

As a visitor to Coventry I have tried a few places this week and this has been by far the worst meal I've had (yes even spoons was better). For a warm sandwich at over £7 I would expect a decent amount of food, what I was presented with was a half empty roll with a single piece of bacon and less than half a chicken breast leaving me eating plain bread most of the time and what was there was slimy on the inside and burnt on the outside. Avoid at all costs there are much better options

Really enjoyed th martini porn stars. Went outside to sit was a little disappointed the soft seating cushions were not out as had been before and because it had been a lovely day weather wise. l do like my comfort when l go out socialising.

Had a very nice lunch here. 5 of us and managed to split a bill for £16 each which included one of three sharing platters which was very filling, 3 other mains, 6 desserts and cocktails. Service to take orders and drinks was below par but the foods taste and speed of delivery made up for it.
