Staff are attentive and welcoming. We have been away on business and used this pub/restaurant for our dinners as they accept blue light and offer a decent discount thank you. Food and service was consistently good all week tables were cleaned regularly and condiments were always available. Great value food and drink.
Me and my wife went there today, and we had fish-and-chips with mushy peas, and they were excellent. The staff was very friendly. And it was from the epic five pound deals. Value for money is excellent. Hats off to the chef. The food was absolutely fantastic. and all for under the twenty pound at lunchtime only.nRonnie & Sue

Went here for lunch with my youngest daughter after visiting previously for her dad's birthday. Nice place that can be noisy at certain times, especially when there's a sporting fixture on the TV.nStaff are nice & courteous & nothing is a problem.nThe food is really nice & presented well. It was quiet when we went at lunch time bit then it was early lunch, so I don't know what it's like later on.nMany good offers on & not bad value either.nI had chicken & bacon baguette with chips & my daughter had something from the kids menu which she really enjoyed.
Their hangover Mac and cheese is to die for! We have become rather obsessed by it. A perfect blend of mac, bacon, hash brown, hot sauce and tomato to cut through the richness. This place is warm and cosy with a good amount of Christmas cheer. It is also incredibly good value and the staff are polite and efficient.
