Excellent pub. Fantastic selection of ales. Good food. Lots of rooms for meetings or relaxing but no restrooms. Toilets. Private function room upstairs with a big roaring log fire. Patio with seats & tables. And .... a vault!

Fantastic choice of great ales in this fabulous pub on the A6 just out of Stockport. Very busy late evening on a Saturday and be prepared to wait to be served, but the staff work their socks off and the results make it worthwhile. Great atmosphere.

If you are looking for beer, are near Stockport, want cask....want keg.... Then look no further! The selection in The Magnet Freehouse is outstanding and the beers are always kept to a high standard for both cask and keg lovers. Keep an eye on the beer board as some special releases often pop up. The staff are always very welcoming, knowledgeable and caring about the place. The customer base always remains varied, providing a great atmosphere. They have a pool table, darts boards, board games and a quiz machine and jukebox! Not to mention a real Pizza oven every Friday evening (be quick!) Call in...have a pint or few and you'll sure to be back 👍

Great pub, always a fantastic range of beer. Lovely staff and a nice atmosphere greets me every time I arrive.

Great pub with wonderful ale selection and friendly staff. On Fridays good pizzas and when the weather is nice a big terrace to enjoy the sun on.
