Great staff. Made sure the fire was stoked up with coal and logs! Classic old school boozer. Warm and friendly with historical decor and a dog that looks like a cross between a fox and a bear XD

Traditional pub. Well kept numerous real ales. Cosy rooms with real fires. The reason I use public transport to get into Stockport. I always look forward to my visits.

Stockport's one-time best cask ales free house. Still a great range of beers served in traditional surroundings. Multi-roomed with real fires throughout. Good beer yard at rear. Fantastic setting under the town's landmark railway viaduct. Recommended.

Hands down one of my favourite pubs. Always a large selection of real ale. Beautiful selection of small rooms that probably haven't changed much since the 1940s. In the winter you'll find me with a stout by the real fire. In the summer I'll be enjoying a pale ale in the beer yard under the looking viaduct.
