nice pub, good staff. However the ladies toilets are FILTHY. This usually gives an indication of how clean the kitchen probably is. Good for a drink, but may stay clear of food.

Busy town centre local pub owned by Robinsons. Run by a young, and lively couple, this is a real gem of a place. Decorated throughout in warm oak wood paneling it evokes an historic and warming charm. On the National Inventory of Pub Interiors this is a must-see place to visit. Good range of Robinsons cask ales. Recommended.

Cracking little "proper" pub in the heart of Stockport, frequented occasionally by the inhabitants of my office for a lubricated lunch. Nothing fancy to look at but the beer is good and the kitchen punches above it's weight, managing to smuggle a bit of "gastro" into the pub.
