A pub that doesn't serve real ale is not somewhere I would choose to visit, but I had a Monday evening fixture with my cribbage team. As usual, I was on my bicycle, and was saddened to see there was nowhere to park the thing safely, so had to improvise with one of the tables in their patio. Sadly they also ran out of my usual standby, Newcastle Brown Ale, but did produce a couple of interesting choices. That, friendly, helpful staff and a generous helping of bar snacks earned them an extra point

Locals and activities friendly enough staff and its a bit of a laugh. Nice locals and a back street feel. Naughty music nights intergenerational friendly.

Great pub has a pool table they have something on every weekend bar staff lovely even when busy you don't wait long so five stars it is.
