Fish and chips fresh and good. The large portion is really big. The gentlemen are nice and smiling. They took care of us. They set up a table and chairs. Family atmosphere. We flew to London for a week. We wanted to eat something good close to the hotel. We were very hungry. It was a good choice - the place is simple but has very good energy and delicious food. We will come back here ;

Old school proper fish & chip shop. Where else could you get a piece of cod, decent portion of delicious hot chips and a can of pop for £5! In the more gentrified places you are lucky to get anything passing as lunch for a fiver. I look forward to my next trip here for a naughty hungover lunch or dinner.
Been buying our chip suppers here for many years never disappointed. Food is fab and the team are friendly and efficient. What is really nice is there's always a familiar face behind the counter! Now they do deliveries it's tempting tried once - food was fresh and piping hot, but you can't beat the experience of going into the shop!
Odd lady standing back behind the counter didn't acknowledge customers, then the man came out and was very friendly. Food is good and fresh. Cash only was slightly annoying as I didn't have any, but cash machine 2 doors down is free.
Fish good,chips could be better. Member of staff assaulted a elderly lady by pushing her out of the shop and shoving her to the pavement where she hurt her side. She started crying and the 'lady' staff member went back in the shop and left her there. Hope she Sue's them. Apparently this member of staff has been negatively mentioned in previous reviews. Must be a family member or would have gone by now.
We’ve bought fish and chips from here 4 times through 2 different delivery services, but NEVER AGAIN. Each time it left much to be desired. The chips were always squashed and oily, the fish batter soggy and oily and the fish tasted old. The chips was so bad the last time, I wondered if we were sent customers’ leftovers. We couldn’t eat it at all. It’s as if the oil is not hot before they started frying. It was late in the day, but, I believe the last chip should taste the same as the first, afterall the price is the same. The oil tasted rank, the fish made me feel sick nausea and the fish was small even though we ordered large. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
