Absolutely brilliant venue and hosts for my 40th birthday bash. Siobhan, Kane and the team let us roll with our personal touches...from decorations to the playlist , to personalised drinks!! We had an awesome time and everything was fabulous. I thoroughly recommend this venue!
An incredible venue to go to for drinks or as I did, host an event. Siobhan was super helpful with arrangements and on the day Kane was great, helped me out with my equipment, super friendly and picked a 10/10 playlist. Would highly recommend Mother's Ruin and their Damson in Distress Cocktail to anyone and everyone!
The most delicious gin I’ve had in a while. The gin tasting menu was a fantastic way to try a little bit of everything. The service was superb. Indoor and outdoor seating too!
I went in to get a drink and no bar staff acknowledged me at all. The bartenders friend came in after me, he greeted hug and hugged her over the bar and spent a good few minutes making her a cocktail which he gave to her half price, before serving me. It really annoyed me so I told him I no longer a drink and left. Very disappointed as I was looking forward to a negroni, but I am also not a mug.
Mother's Ruin hosted us for our engagement party. We all had a wonderful time. Siobhan and the team were so welcoming, friendly and gave us great service in advance and on the evening. The range of drinks is fab, the gimlets are particularly delicious! Would highly recommend as a beautifully decorative, distinctive and fun party venue.
We had our wedding party at Mother's Ruin and can't recommend them more. Siobhan is excellent and helped with making organisation as smooth as possible throughout and was there on the night as well. The bar staff were all excellent and there are equally good options for those not drinking alcohol. Rose - you are a superb bar manager and was a pleasure sharing our evening with you too!
Lovely staff who love their product and indeed there's nothing you can't love about Mother's ruin. Try both gins they produce onsite - they are smooth and SO interesting! I'd suggest to try them without tonic to fully get their totally different botanicals. The place's industrial look is smoothened by the natural decoration and the choice of music good old Metallica, Judas Priest etc made drinking even more enjoyable.
Beautiful venue, really friendly and helpful team running the bar, great selection of cocktails, and all very easy to organise a party there. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a venue for a birthday or similar, and will definitely be going back!
Our daughter had an amazing Christening at Mother's Ruin! The staff were super friendly, made the day very special and our guests so welcome. We can't wait to plan our next event here. The space is a perfect size for medium sized gatherings and is light and private in a great location. Thanks again to Siobhan and team we really appreciate what a great party you hosted! I booked Mother's Ruin for my 30th birthday back in January and the experience has been absolutely outstanding from the minute I emailed the venue up until after we left the venue Saturday. Siobhan is amazing , so thoughtful and the customer experience is second to none. Her communication was excellent, rarely leaving more than a few hours to reply. Her help over the last few months has been wonderful , thoughtful and made me feel really at ease leading up to it. You know she cares about every person who books at her bar. The night itself was incredible. The venue is beautiful and the drinks are insane. The bar staff were excellent, kind and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Siobhan and your excellent team!
