We stopped here for a quick lunch. Food was good, service was also, we particularly like the location. Right near Clapham junction train station. Was nice and quiet also which was a bonus
It got super crowded around 6pm and going forward conversations were almost impossible due to the loud background noise. Staff is super friendly and professional though. Food is always great in any Wetherspoons.
First time dining in this venue, and thought I'd see what the fuss is all about. We popped in during lunch time.nWe opted for a children's jacket potato option meal and a small steak option for my daughter. Unfortunately hers was quite dry and chewy and my son's jacket potato was a-bit bland, hardly any salt or butter to make it more tasty. We also ordered a steak each but mine came out wrong. They forgot my salad and brought me chips and then took my plate back to bring it out with salad. I was really hungry so I just digged in because well I was not in the mood to complain really. Anyway my steak was also very chewy and bland and I just couldn't be bothered to complain after all the time we had waited for the food to arrive since they were busy and it was a weekend.nThey had put one cold mushroom on the side and one hard tomato as part of the dish which was not very tasty nor fresh.nI'm glad at least my partners steak came out right. I wouldn't be rushing back there anytime soon to be fair but I think attention to detail is important as well as the taste for the price. Even if it's a pub there should still be a standard set for each and every customer!nMaybe I would grab a drink next time I pass by since they have some good offers on those but I wouldn't dine there again.
I often visit Wetherspoon in Clapham Junction on Saturday mornings. The atmosphere is decent, with a few early drinkers, but they aren’t disruptive. The quality of the food is good, especially for the price you pay. The Eggs Benedict, in particular, are very good and a great deal at just £6.nnThe service is polite and efficient, which I appreciate. While the venue could be a bit cleaner, it’s still comfortable enough for a relaxed meal. I’ve also tried the pizzas, which are quite good as well.
This is a really nice pub. It's next to the station and is railway themed. Reasonable prices. Good location. Good nachos. Good cider. Friendly staff. Fast service. Lots of seating. They also have outdoor seating. Restrooms are downstairs. The ladies room is the biggest one I have seen. Stalls go around corners. Some of the stalls weren't very clean, but that happens when the pub is busy. There is also a handicapped restroom on the ground floor. We expected this pub to close at half 10 being a Sunday night, but it was surprisingly open until midnight. They give you another half hour to finish your final drink.
