Despite being here for 13yrs, this was my first visit and I loved it! Love the quaint English decor and back garden.nThe Tea Room is let out for events which wr had hired and the service was great!nFunnily enough a couple of days later, I went back there for a coffee because all the cafes were closed after 5pm and I had the best double espresso served locally.nWill be going back more often now. Better late than never!
This is a nice family friendly pub with a good selection of beers. What lets it down is the food. The Chicken Snitzel was cold and the Bavette Steak was both cold and burnt. The portion size is not value for money given the price.
Really warm and nice pub. The food is a little on the pricey side but definitely worth the money. Have tried the Sunday roast and the pork belly and they were both great.nEdit. Went back here again recently, had the burger and felt it was a bit dry. Other than that everything was good.
We booked the Function Room to hold a Wake after a Funeral and ordered a buffet for 70 people. Everyone at the Railway made sure that the afternoon went well. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was good. All the staff were really helpful. It made a difficult day easier. Thank you!
The Railway in Streatham, by Streatham overground station is an excellent pub offering a great variety of beers both cask and keg. Lovely staff working very hard to please all the punters. Two big rooms and an extensive garden. All perfect but I don't recommend parking up the road!
