A fantastic selection of craft beers. Menu provides good pub food pork pies, scotch eggs, burgers, fries, and slightly extra options. Very friendly and knowledgable staff and a great layout for eating. Is not set up as a pub but would be great for a large group. A great selection and an open environment. Not a local style of pub but you could very easily spend a long time talking to the staff and great for an event or larger groups.
Not the first visit to this most excellent pub.. very welcoming staff and knowledgeable as well, that is always very important to me. Phenomenal range of craft keg and cask beers. Plus, very recently added the vintage cellar with some eye watering prices to reflect stupid rare bottles.Service: 5/5
Staying locally and after a long day of the tourist stuff the search was on for a walkable pub. The Cask hit the mark, from reading the reviews. It was 8ish and all the pubs were busy, street side drinking, had concerns about getting a table. We had a plan B, walking up the place looked busy. But one lone table! So nice. Don’t let the street crowds scare you Beer selection, wow, just wow. The staff was great, directed me, helped me, served me. Everything is ordered at the bar. Food is brought to you. Had a burger, yeah pretty good. It’s advertised as a modern pub, good description. I’d go back.
One of the best craft beer bars in Zone 1, with lots and lots of beers on tap. It was a hot day when I popped in, and I enjoyed a very cold Flensburger lager. Lovely atmosphere - full of drinkers with great taste!Service: 5/5
Dropped in on a Saturday afternoon having found it on a craft beer search near Victoria station. Well worth the short walk as it's out of the hustle of the main tourist drag around there. The bar was kind of 'right' busy, with a good buzz but seats still available - loved the 'pub mirror' wall art as well. 22 I think keg lines didn't disappoint with 9 / 10 cask alongside. A really wide selection across the ranges to suit all tastes and a couple of U.S. bangers as well. Not the cheapest but then again where is for proper craft in London... But all were kept perfectly. Eve behind the bar was really knowledgeable and helpful, the simple food we had, the Parmesan and Truffle tray of chips and onion rings were amazing and good value. Oh, and the selection of bottles and cans on offer is frankly insane. Such a wide choice. Would 100% recommend if you want great beers and a chill vibe out of the touristy chaos.
Beautiful craft beer pub with a good selection on tap/cask and an unbelievable choice of mainly Belgian vintage bottles for true connaisseurs. Delicious burgers too. A gem of an owner made our afternoon very special. Thank you Peter!
On a recent trip to London, thanks to my trusty CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2024 I was able to discover the brilliant "Cask Pub and Kitchen". A short walk from Pimlico tube on the Victoria line. The Cask is decorated in a contemporary unfussy way, it was a ideal place to chill on a Sunday afternoon. The fantastic cask and craft beer was of high quality and served by friendly helpful staff. Food was available but not sampled. Prices are typical London prices. On Sundays they have music on from around 4.30 to 7.00 ish. Apparently they're a three member group playing Blue Grass and Folk-Country music, but on my visit and on most Sundays they are regularly joined by other musicians for a really good session. The "Cask Pub and Kitchen" well worth a visit.
Didn't eat. HUGE range of beers on tap. Great friendly service. Will definitely be going back if in that part of London again.Service: 5/5
Convivial atmosphere, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff, huge range of bottled and tap beers along with a niche selection of rare and special bottles - also burgers, scotch eggs, pork pies and ancillary dishesFood: 5/5
I’m giving five stars for food but that’s for the beer as I didn’t eat here. I believe this is one of the original craft beer pubs, but I’m guessing it may have had a modernisation since it’s 2009? Opening, as it really looked ultra modern. I travelled across London just to try a few beers here, and I’m glad I did. Felt like a local boozer, even though it has a spectacular range of beers to try. You can spend £50 on a bottle of very special Cantillon if you want to treat yourself. They have bottled and cans by region, as well as the tap range of beers.
