Nice little hotel with great staff. Bedroom and bathroom were small but I did not mind for one night stay. The bed was good though. Breakfast was frugal. Just toasts, a selection of yogurts and porridge/cereals were available. I would have liked to see some cold food such as ham and a larger variety of cheeses. Although the hotel was full and has a bar on the ground floor, it was very quiet. There's a car park across the road from the hotel which is free between 6 pm and 9 am. The hotel is a couple of minutes away from the main Street and the city center which makes it a perfect location.

Frosty reception when we arrived and one room of two had wet walls (see photo). With the windows open all night it was bearable but don't try and get a refund here, they were not very accomodating when I informed them that I only required one room (2 days notice). 

When asked my son's age, as this was a contributing factor to having one room or two (where I believe they wanted rent the room out and put me and my son in the room with wet walls, which I had to be verbally forceful reminding them that I had booked two rooms and as they did not want to refund me my money was now expecting to have two rooms). My father was taken ill two days before arriving so emailed the hotel and explained the situation, to which they kindly told me a refund was not possible due to only giving them two days notice which I had no real issues with, I until we arrived and they then wanted to try and only give me one room even though a refund was not possible (cheek). End result was we got both rooms, no refund and one room had wet walls which I couldn't be bothered mentioning to the staff due to the ride encounter we had already experienced and where only there for two nights. 

A rude experience from the receptionist who reminded me that 'she was the General around here'. Would not recommend staying here if you are not happy with anything, as she was rude and very forthwrite in her views. Reminder of the team seemed to nice. 

She even told me she would cancel my booking as I stood there with my son after driving 3hrs and no where to go, very rude and threatening . We did find the cleaners to be friendly and the bed linen and towels to be excellent and very clean.

Didn't eat here as it was being refurbished and couldn't really face seeing the receptionist again, a bully in my view and not worth the time of day.
