We stayed for 2 nights and got exactly what we were looking for. The room was cozy and exceptionally clean, the bathroom was spacious, the owner was very kind. It's just a short walk to the town centre. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, clean place to stay, couldn't have asked for more : will definitely stay here again if we come back to Oban
we came to Oban, purely for George's Fish restaurant and wanted to stay local. We happened upon a gem, and we will definitely book here again! We were greeted at the door with a very warm welcome, and went to our room. It was spotless and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, the telly worked and the shower was amazing. We woke for breakfast , and it was arranged to be earlier then they normally serve as we had to be out ! The selection was wonderful and cooked breakfast was fresh and tasty. We will be back!
Room was comfortable, with a beautiful view of a garden in the courtyard. Bathroom was also great, including a tub. House was quiet and beds were comfortable, so we slept great. Breakfast was delicious, with many options for hot or cold breakfast. B&B was very conventient location, close to the train, ferry, and central town area. We took a walk in the neighborhood, and found a path up to Pulpit Rock that goes right next to Maridon House, which has amazing views of the bay and surrounding area. Hosts were very helpful and friendly - when our train was delayed and we got in late, they provided a way that we could self check-in.
Stayed here overnight before catching the ferry to Oban to cycle the Hebridean Way. Had a great chat with James when we arrived, marvelling that we'd driven up in a pre-1990s 2CV with 2 bikes and all our gear in the back. He's got a secure shed to lock up bikes and he helpfully told us where to park for free while we were away. He also gave us some local advice and we were soon settled in our rooms. A great freshly cooked breakfast in the morning with plenty of options and we were ready for the off - the ferry terminal is close by. Friendly and helpful.
The location is convenient and beautiful. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and well-maintained. It feels very safe and welcoming. The owners were very kind. The bathroom was large and very clean. The beds were not the most comfortable, but they are good enough.Rooms: 5/5
Nice room, good service and reasonable price. Well located in the town, and Oban is lovely in general. Nice view from the room we had too. Good amount of plugs in the room, although only on one side of the bed. The hot drink area was well stocked and contained caffeine free options The bathroom was nice enough, my only criticism here was there was no anti bacterial handwash by the sink, there was only normal handwash, anti bacterial seems the wiser choice given the times we're in. Overall I would recommend this B+B if you're visiting Oban
Excellent hotel, fantastic hosts, couldn't ask for more. Breakfast was amazing for an extra fiver. Marion House is well situated for the harbour and town centre, as well as for sights worth seeing such as McCaigs tower and Pulpit hill, with its commanding views of the area is located a very short walk from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
A B&B just a few minutes walk from the ferry, The room was as described and clean. We had a great breakfast and chatted with other friendly guests, who were travelling to the islands, and the host.Rooms: 4/5
Great location friendly welcoming host, definitely recommend the extra fiver for the excellent breakfast! The room was very clean and comfortable with tea and coffee available. Anyone leaving negative reviews maybe should book in a more expensive place, you get what you pay for and this one is definitely worth every penny. Look forward to visiting again.
