Story

A warm welcome awaits all our guests at Sgeirmhoal
With 7 bedrooms,
2 twins, 4 doubles rooms,5 of which are ensuite, Sgiermhaol is a 3 star rated guesthouse
We have a large car park to the rear,seating area for our guests and garden to the front of the house.
All our rooms are on 1 level and all rooms are to the back of the house.
Rooms are decorated to a high standard with crisp white bedding,welcome trays,mini fridges.safes and fan for the warm evenings in summer and toilitries,we provide house coats for the 2 rooms that are not ensuite
We are a 5-10 minuite walk to the towncentre,train station,bus station and ferries.The hospital is also a short walk away as are 3 supermarkets and petrol stations.
We are a family run business.Ishbell and Jamie pride themselves on providing a clean,welcoming and friendly stay to all our guests from near and far and so we look forward to meeting you soon at Sgeirmhaol where we hope you will enjoy your stay with us.

The RUDEST woman I have EVER met. If you want abuse hurled at you and to feel very unwelcome then this if the place for you. Read the bad reviews on trip advisor they are all true! After a 5 hours drive we turned up to be told we had no reservation (fair enough, mistakes happen we are only human) but the way we were dealt with after that was disgusting...I have never been spoken to the way the owner spoke to me and my boyfriend...STAY AWAY!!! I would leave a 0 star rating but have to leave 1

The host is incredibly nice and helpful with providing information about Oban. The rooms are your standard fare. The best thing about this place is the location. It's out of the main area of Oban which gives a decent discount compared to other Guesthouses nearby but it's a very short walk (like 7 mins) to the bay and main street area. Not bad at all.

Within convenient walling distance to town and the rooms are clean and the shower is great. The bed isn't the best, but I've slept in worse. Highly recommend hitting up the Oban Seafood Shack while you're here, they're open earlier until they run out of food but the seafood is to die for and cheap as can be!

Had a lovely stay at the B&B ! Ishbel the owner cud not do enough for us, after my husband got admitted to the hospital with the foot injury when camping on Mull . Place was immaculate, considering dogs are welcome! nice white bedding and towels, choice of tea and coffee as well as biscuits in our room. Range of continental breakfast was accommodating, variation of fresh fruit and yogurts, cereals and muesli, croissants and scones etc. Would most definitely recommend!

I have never met a more Cocky rude liar than this Landlady , we travelled five and a half hours for her to tell us we hadn't reserved a room then she stood and argued rather than trying to make it right looking at a few other bad experiences that people have had at this place ... don't use this place the people are not making it up even the locals know her reputation....a bad one
