We were stranded in Oban for 2 nights due to landslides & flooding. Finding accommodation was nigh on impossible, but we found here. Ann, the owner, was just so wonderful, an amazing character, very friendly & full of life. The room was big enough, a comfortable large bed, a good shower, clean & the most gorgeous view. If you have to be stuck anywhere, then The Palace Hotel is the place to be!
The check in staff was friendly, the hotel is well located in Oban close to port, train and bus stations, restaurants and the room was clean though very small. On the downside the hotel is definitely in need of some renovations, lacks wifi in the rooms, really needs a lift, and does not serve breakfast. It's pretty basic but if you are looking for a good location then this place is totally fine.
My bed was comfy, my room was clean and it had everything I needed for my stay. My room was on the third floor and the stairs were a killer so when you're booking request a room on a lower floor, unless you're very fit. My only complaint is that for £85 a night they should include breakfast, it's a steep price for no breakfast.Rooms: 4/5
We had a late check in and the gentleman at the desk was very accommodating. He perceived our needs and met them before we even asked. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated, and the location is a 10/10 in Oban. 100% recommended.Rooms: 5/5
Due to covid, our stay was different, but despite this had a lovely time. Clean , friendly staff, brilliant view over the bay, great location. Only problem was the 90 stairs to reach our room. I have arthritis so was a struggle. Make sure you check this before booking.Rooms: 4/5
Lovely family run hotel. Old and new. Very helpful staff and a great breakfast. Lots of stair so not great for not very mobile guests but staff will try and get you a room on a lower floor if possible. Gorgeous views to wake up to in the morning.
Room clean and tidy. Bed comfortable, nicely refurbished bathroom. Hotel is in excellent location, right middle of the town. No car park for the guests.Rooms: 4/5
It's clean must say but very poor service never saw the bar or lounge , Never saw anyone eat breakfast , Only saw a girl hovering and cleaning place . Very expensive for what you get , can't say I would be back . Stairs a little steep also no lifts .
Just home from weekend in this cosy hotel. Stayed 2 nights, will be back for a longer stay. Staff are really welcoming and helpful. Loved our sea view room.Rooms: 5/5
So, I understand, you took money from my account even though you don't meet the conditions I expected. I think you are cheaters. OK, I will share my opinion on your website and customer service on every possible website on the Internet. This is your choice. Yours sincerely, Peter Senakiewicz. You can improve services when you have respect for the customer. At the same time, your hotel and its staff do not meet any standards.
