Our first time in Margate and we wanted to try some seafood. We've decided to try hot seafood platter - IT was delicious! Also good beer and nice views :
Hand a fab birthday party there, live music. The Hoy will help you to provided and kind of entertainment. after a one off party i frequently got there with friends or family. Service is brilliant. Best Kent Roast Dinners ever! Such a lovely couple that own it and everyone is so welcoming.
Welcoming service, food was good but vegetables looked and tasted a bit dry. Bathroom needed cleaning and no toilet paper in any... Other than that.. was good. Wouldn't visit again purely because there are nice places but worth popping in.
Food was served quickly and was very tasty. Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall a nice restaurant. Would like to see a bigger range on the menu, though!
Wanted a place to hold a 60th birthday party. The Hoy were happy to accommodate us, provided fantastic VFM catering, spent what must have been hours building a bespoke music playlist, gave us exclusive use of the place, had cheerful, friendly bar staff, put up decorations for us... There was simply nothing we could have asked for which they were not happy to do. Need a function venue? I can point you in the direction of The Hoy with no hesitation or reservations.
Great food served here especially the Sunday lunch. You just have to try the pork belly it is amazing. Great entertainment too.
Service great and fish very fresh and tasty! The menus for kids have good size. We'lo come back for sure!
Wonderful atmosphere and scrumptious food. Best steak, Sunday dinner and fish and chips. Beautiful views of Margate sands.
We have eaten in there a few times and has been lovely, however today I had the fish cakes that were on special at £6, I found a hair intwined in one of the fish cakes, I have long hair and it was down, and took this In to account before complaining, the fact it was intwined and dark my hair is fair it couldn't of been mine, after complaining I was told a little bit would be taken off the bill, when receiving the bill £2 was taken off, which ultimately I didn't think was sufficient, I didn't say anything and just paid it however have left feeling dissatisfied thinking the very least that should of happened would have been not to pay for the fish cakes.
Wonder full food from out company doo! Cant fault it at all. lovely people and a real friendly environment. Amzing food for the money, not expensive and brilliant place for a party.!!
