Couple of lousy reviews here which are not entirely justified since the pub has been closed for months on end now so I’m not sure where these reviewers actually were. I doubt it’ll open again either, as demand was never high for this place. When it WAS open, ages ago, the main charm was the location and the garden. Average drink selection tbh. Anyway, maybe it’ll open it’s doors again sometime in another incarnation which would add something to the town.
That’s poorly! Drink glasses look horrible a dirtying and never fresh up in all room. When we went here but that’s badly and landlord is not great of jobs and attitude too. I’m never come again….
Nice relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful garden out back, fresh strawberries and apples growing. Lovely place to enjoy a nice cold beverage. Thank you.
I love this pub. It is friendly and allow dogs to. My dog Winston loves it as he gets to meet other dogs like Eddie who is also a Jack Russell like him.
I love this place, me Chan is my favourite bar tender, the way he looks at me with a little snug wink turns my Weiner into a beamer! Such a friendly good looking bloke, must come again!
Very bad and dirty and the story in the Mail about a young expectant woman who lost her baby because she was.set upon in this.pub for.no.reason
Beer off or foamy due to they turn coolers off in basement at night as noisy beer not kept at right temps fruit fly's on optics very dated old run down décor shame used to be nice years ago rude unwelcoming owner and wife my advice is go to any other pub unless you like warm beer and a unfriendly crowd and found fleas my legs when left
Run down, always space for customers, dated and not a good range of beers, it's close to the town centre and one of my daughter's friends got served at 15 when presenting his library card as ID so is an obvious Mecca for underage drinkers, try the London tavern or the Oxford a few minutes away instead.
Last time I went in there had fleas jumping on me owner child behind the bar apart from that staff ok wouldn't go there again
Nice little pub friendly staff good events worth visiting
