Good for beer and location. However the breakfast was cold only the hash brown and sausage had any heat. Will go to local cafe next time and pay a bit more for a warm breakfast.:Decided to give it another try and went back the next day and had a muffin deal and everything was great so added a star back in
Great place to go especially for a well priced bite to eat and very well priced drinks.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great selection of real ales from £1.89 a pint. Steak special was excellent quality with all the trimmings. Nice comfy booths. Couldn’t fault the venue, food or drinks selection.
Stopped by on a cold January afternoon for a bit of a warm-up and a light bite for lunch. A great atmosphere, nicely laid out and friendly and courteous staff team made us very welcome. We will definitely be using The Mechanical Elephant again on future visits to Margate.
Amazing food, I had a mixed grill & was absolutely delicious. I've given a 3 star as it was empty in there & a group of youngsters came in with foul language & sexual descriptions. I'm no prude but, I think the pub staff could of told them to be quiet. We're out for an anniversary meal & it was ruined as we couldn't hear each other. I'm getting old I guess!
Very nice pub. Upstairs area so you can sit and look at the sea. Have a look at the carpet and you'll see little elephants!
Spoons for breakfast . You know what you are getting, and it's not the Bus Cafe for sure. The coffee is better than most places with a jug, and the app is really good for ordering food to the table. The food is just Spoons, basic stuff done to an acceptable standard served up in a timely manner. The optional black pudding was nice, the bacon was so so, the sausages were good but skinny. We didn't visit in the evening, not with the kids.
Well well well. Had a spoons pizza in Margate with the lads it was relatively tasty definitely an upgrade from your typical oven pizza. I also managed to sink a pint of brewdog. Spoons was full of weirdos tho. Loads of lads doing shots at 12 in the afternoon and being all around rowdy. It is Kent tho so it's expected behaviour. Would perhaps return if they cleaned their act up.
First time in this Spoons, found it clean with friendly staff , cheap booze what more do you want
Nice spoons and jack the member of staff so friendly and chatty give him a pay rise
