Great pub at the artistic end of Margate, facing out to sea with the big garden at the front. Went to see my mate play with his band StudWerk, peculiar name considering, & had a really good time. Lovely atmosphere & friendly people. Brilliant to sit in the sun with a coke & listen to live music again.
Live music outside, loads of space and tables, great staff and fellow drinkers made this a perfect afternoon with the hot September sun.
Good breakfast. Lovely room and comfortable bed.
Seem to do good events though the place felt a bit rough to me. Not used to the area so may be common but on my visit people were knocking pints over and wandering behind the bar resulting in a tense atmosphere. Nothing the staff could have done really but bit of shame when you've gone to enjoy the music. Lovely setting overlooking the Atlantic.
Much improved over the years but just bought a few pints, plus a coke for my child and look at the state of the glasses. Somebody needs to sort the cleanliness out before somebody catches something!
Loved the place More of an experience than just a pub
Very nice traditional pub, I was seating outdoor sipping a pint with good live music played by a great Drum+Guitar duo and enjoying the view of the sea. Good experience overall and kind staff. The food looked good as well but didn't try it... I'll stop again there for sure next time I'm in Margate!
A quirky place with nice food and very friendly and accommodating staffs
Delicious food, friendly staff, and beautiful views. We had two meals at the pub this week, both were cooked.to perfection. If the Britannia was closer to us it would definitely be our local.
