Went for a birthday meal with our friends and were really impressed! Food was served piping hot and tasted amazing - good variation on offer as well burgers, pasta, fish and chips, fried chicken, and a vegan section so there's definitely something for everyone. Portions are pretty generous, it's unlikely you'll leave here unsatisfied. Atmosphere is typical pub vibes - got a little loud at times from other visitors but that's to be expected. No obnoxious loud music or TVs blaring, so bonus points for that.
Lovely place to eat, food freshly cooked so be prepared to wait for half hour. Took two elder aunts and father for a meal All enjoyed it lovely cup of tea too ! Staff were pleasant, average prices. Plenty of parking and accessible for too! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to access for anyone with mobility issues.
We had a party of 20 for my dad's birthday. The staff couldn't be any nicer and helpful. The food was very good. Great experience all in all. Highly recommend. Thank you so much!Food: 5/5
Great meal, great service, steak was cooked to absolute perfection. beautiful pub with good parking. nice outside seating area, beer is well kept too. Classic pub food, done very well. Will definitely be back for more!! Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available
Walk in to pub , seen straight away to table. Lovely friendly person. Ordered food fairly quickly. Had to ask for wine list as not offered. Then had to go to bar and order wine. Food hot and came quickly. No food check. Once main course cleared away no offer of dessert or coffee. Had to go to bar again and ask for dessert menu. Again no follow up to see if we wanted dessert or coffee. In the end we have up. Went to the bar to ask and pay for bill. Poor, poor service which was such a shame.
I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment yesterday for a grand birthday celebration, and I must commend our waitress, Jessica, who truly exceeded all expectations. Her attentiveness and willingness to assist us were remarkable; she was incredibly helpful throughout our time there. I entrusted her with a cake to be stored in the refrigerator, and upon its return, I was delighted to find that she had adorned it with additional decorations, a thoughtful gesture that truly enhanced our experience. Moreover, she generously provided us with ice cream and cream to accompany the cake, showcasing her dedication to ensuring our enjoyment. Jessica's confidence and warmth were evident as she even joined in singing "Happy Birthday," adding a personal touch to our festivities. I cannot express enough my gratitude for her exceptional service; she truly went above and beyond for our table. Thank you once again, Jessica, for making our celebration so memorable. Kid-friendliness: Definitely and they have lots of choices on the menu for children.
Decided to call in after passing it several times but never going in. Standard pub with large seating area for food. Good menue with lots of options including specials. Busy at the time of visiting which is a good sign. Food was good not bad but not amazing average pub food which worked. Only small down side is the carpark is pitch black in places and in poor weather visibility was very poor. It does require some sort of lighting. On the whole good place.
The worst Sunday roast ever. The starter is nice but the Sunday roast is awful. I have two roast potatoes and it taste like frozen, mash potato is really dry and couple of cabbages, the yorkshire pudding is burnt and soggy. But that is not the worst bit yet. My husband spoke to the staff and let them know about it when I pay for the food. He come back, didn't say nothing about the disappointment, he came with the change, hole them still in his hand, look at us and asked " you want the change?" Isn't it rude? Is that mean I need leave tips? I would if it worth it but now I leave the review because the staff make me feel like I'm cheap. Never come back, NOT RECOMMEND
Took my children it was my daughter's birthday and they asked me when I booked if I wanted to bring a cake and they would bring it out for her which they did along with plates allowing us to eat the cake there which surprised me.. they were very welcoming and polite ..thank you . Kid-friendliness: Very friendly
Ate here today at 12pm. The presentation of the food was fantastic. The hot chocolate and the ice cream were delicious. Fudge cake was good, although not very hot. Overall, a fantastic atmosphere and good food. The staff were also very welcoming. Also, a dog friendly environment.Food: 5/5
