Not so flashy this place which is what I like. Bit more understated and private than campsites which are busy and full. Friendly owner. Really personable place but lacking in facilities if that's what you want. For me I prefer peace and quiet as opposed to busy shower blocks and screaming kids' playgrounds. Good value too. There's a nice pub a short walk away that does cracking food with a surprisingly good vegetarian menu.

Very nice camping spot in a very good location convenient for the Route 72 Hadrian's Cycleway and the River Tyne. The White Swan pub is within walking distance if you fancy a pub meal. Friendly staff were very helpful and welcoming. I'd definitely book again.

Have to say the warmest welcome we've ever received on a caravan site. The guys were really helpful and the setting is lovely. The facilities are clean and above average. In just 10 minutes of arrival feel relaxed and right at home. Will definately be coming here again.

Lovely quite spot, short walk into village to couple of pubs. Friendly, helpful warden. Amenities a bit dated but very clean with loads of hot water.

We used the touring part of the site. While a bit basic the facilities were spotless. Not a bad spot for visiting hadrians wall and Newcastle. The owner of the site was brilliant, really helpful with our car troubles when leaving. Cant give enough stars for him!!
