We were there for a wedding and everyone was very welcoming. It was a lovely service. Really old church. I found it difficult to find - more direction signs would help but everyone else managed to find it.
Did not visit the church was volunteering for the CWGC but the grounds are beautiful and it's situated in Ryton old village.
Very interesting church with unusual steeple we went on a thursday looking for a grave for our family tree. There was a small service but we were told it would be finished soon and we were welcome to look around. So pleased we did. The reverend Tom Jamieson came to talk about the church and was helpful and friendly. We were invited to have a cup of tea with some of the parishioners who were celebrating a birthday. There were all such lovely friendly people. I took lots of photos and then was allowed into the bell tower rope room. Were a lovely lady explained about the ropes and levers. I would definitely go again.
Absolutely stunning floral decorations for Easter. My kids enjoyed the Sunday school and the service was light hearted.
Beautiful church in the old ryton village dating back to 1320s. Steeped in history. Lovely carvings, stained glass windows and warm welcoming atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
