Exceptional from start to finish. A wonderful Sunday lunch. The cured sea bream was phenomenal. The cauliflower cheese was mind blowing. The beef roast and trimmings were stupendous. The fig leaf ice cream was so frickin' delicious I nearly teared up while eating it.
Really enjoyed our roast dinner for our anniversary. The staff were very friendly and attentive and happily accommodated our baby and buggy. The roast is shared between two and you can choose which meats you’d like. Plenty of food for the two of us. We also had the venison scotch eggs to start and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, both of which were delicious. They also have good selection of non-alcoholic cocktails on offer.
My husband and I came in for Sunday roast and I will say with confidence this was by far the best meal I’ve ever had. The côte de Boeuf was insane, and the sticky toffee pudding my favorite dessert was something I’ll dream of. The staff were kind and attentive, and we never felt rushed even when we had one of the last reservation times. The only downside is that we live in California and can’t dine here whenever we like! For now I’ll just dream of my sticky toffee pudding.
The restaurant more than fulfills its thesis of highly elevated pub food. It is perhaps not the most innovative but serves the best possible version of every dish. We particularly enjoyed the scotch egg, beet salad, venison, sirloin, pear tart, and honey tart. The service was excellent. My only complaint would be the annoying, overloud businessman at the adjacent table, but I figure I can't blame the restaurant for him.
During our London vacation we made a point to seek out London’s only Michelin starred pub and it did not disappoint. The staff was extremely accommodating to our group with our baby and the food, drink, and service were all excellent. The Iberian pork, beetroot starter, and chicken mouse were highlights. Wonderful meal!
