My first Sunday Roast experience in London and Fentiman Arms does an absolutely gorgeous roast beef with yorkshire pudding, veggies, potatoes gravy and all other trimmings. It was an scrumptious and satisfying lunch perfect for a cold day.nnBe sure to also checkout the second floor, I couldn't help but notice how nice the decors are.
Great pub in a quiet area. The fries served were amazing too!nnFood took a bit longer than expected to arrive but was worth the wait!
Nice local pub with friendly service. They have a good sunday roast and classic mains. There is a good amount of indoor seating but a big beer garden and a couple of tables out front.
I really want to be as fair as possible so firstly I’d like to acknowledge the lovely staff and great service we received, as well as the lovely interior and cosy atmosphere.nnHowever we came for a roast on 7/12 and the food was poor quality. The portions were so small and the quality of most of the roast elements was not good. 2 soggy roast potatoes per person and a very slim serving of veg hidden under a Yorkshire pudding to give the illusion of acceptable quality and size. My friend ordered cauliflower cheese which was tiny and only contained 2/3 pieces of cauliflower and was the size of my palm £7.nThe Yorkshire was nice and the beef had a nice flavour. I can see previous reviews which show better roasts than what we received so perhaps it was a bad day. However this is enough to put me off spending another 23£ on a very small, poor quality roast at this pub again.nAt least there was extra gravy!!!
We came here for a Sunday roast and they did not disappoint. We were welcomed by the hostess and everyone else in the restaurant. They were super accommodating in seating us, and we never had to flag anyone down once we’d been sat at our table. My chicken roast was heavenly; chicken was tasty, juicy, and all the veggies cooked perfectly. The pudding was perfect as well. We had a few starters, and dessert as well. It was my first time but Fentiman’s had been recommended to me by two different groups of people so I knew it had to be good. Atmosphere was nice, everyone was in good spirits and I liked how there was ample space in the establishment. Definitely go there for a superb roast or even just an afternoon hangout.
