Simply love Fuller's Churchill Arms in Kensington Church Street. Been frequenting it for many a year and, when the lovely Irish landlord Gerry retired some years ago, I thought it would never be the same and, in a way, it isn't of course but nonetheless it's still very good. Beware the pub features in tourist guides and attracts many visitors from abroad and, as a consequence, can be heaving at times! ‍ To ensure we could find a table, the two of us arrived by 12.15pm for lunch. We prefer sitting in the bar area where it's more quirky and atmospheric but there is an adjoining Vietnamese restaurant. However, I think it's reservation only. The Vietnamese kitchen has expanded its menu and the Pad Thai at £13 I had the mixed for an extra £2 tasted as good as ever!
Once you step inside, it feels like entering a Thai restaurant. The exterior is a pub, and the ambiance is comfortable and unique. There are plenty of menu options, and they offer authentic Thai dishes that are truly delicious. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming.
The Thai food in the pub is so good and tasty. The portion is huge! But only 1hr dining time which is a bit short, and the staff come check very often which is a bit annoying while we’re still eating our food. However I think I will visit again for the food. The pub itself is lovely, the decor is amazing.
Cute and cozy vibes in the pub, a little cold in the back with the restaurant and very different feel. Food was ok, but lacked flavor and was overall plain. Cute and cozy inside vibes!nPretty much everything on the Thai menu cost 13£, pretty reasonable.
A great pub packed with locals and tourists. The green outside looks already cute in winter, so it must be beautiful in spring and summer. On the inside it’s very full. With the unlikely combination of tourists, locals, war memorabilia and a Thai restaurant.nnThe staff is really friendly and seem to know many of the frequent visitors. They’re up for a chat with tourists like me as well.nnNothing better than a cold local pint while Churchills smiles and frowns down upon you! He would be proud.
