We had our wedding at the George IV in June of 2026, and it was made so much better, easier and awesome having picked this venue.nnThe team could not have been more engaged and attentive with us throughout the process, and we got more than value for our money and doubt some of the bigger wedding-focused establishments could have done a better job than this venue!nnBig shoutouts to Amber and Lilliana, who worked the event, who were incredible and both could have been full-time wedding planners, they were that good.nnIf you like the space and think this is for you 100% pick these guys :
I've been here four times so far. The Sunday roast is really good! The first time I tried the roasted pork which was divine. I haven't founded it on the menu since, but the lamb is just as good. Friendly staff, nice setting and atmosphere. Really recommended
I would like to share some feedback regarding the fantastic experience I had over the Bank Holiday weekend at the George IV pub, on Chiswick High Road.nnFirstly, I believe Daniel/Danny was recently promoted to Assistant Manager, and I wanted to say how impressed I was with how naturally and confidently he stepped into his new role. On Friday evening, I wasn’t sure what to order from the exciting new menu, but Daniel took the time to explain everything to me in great detail. His knowledge and passion for the food really stood out. I was especially interested in the Burrata with marinated tomatoes & sourdough and the Greek mezze with feta, sun-blushed tomatoes, hummus, raita, babaganoush, olives and flatbread.nnDaniel described both dishes so well and with such attention to detail that I ended up ordering both just to try them for myself — and he was absolutely right, they tasted amazing.nnWhat impressed me even more happened on Saturday night. There was a domestic situation in the pub involving a husband and wife, where the husband became very aggressive towards the lady. As someone who is a strong advocate for women’s safety, I paid close attention to how the situation was handled. Daniel stepped in calmly, professionally, and dealt with the issue appropriately while the police were called and arrived at the venue. The police then dealt with the male accordingly. From what I could see, his actions likely helped the woman feel safer and potentially prevented further verbal or physical abuse. Well done to him — he handled a very difficult situation with maturity, professionalism, and care. nnI was also pleased to see live music being organised for the May Bank Holiday, which created a really enjoyable and vibrant atmosphere in the pub.nnI also came back on Sunday, where Reuben went above and beyond with customer service. He served our drinks with great energy and gave an excellent explanation of the new cocktails menu, which made the experience even more enjoyable.nnTo summarise, my entire Bank Holiday weekend at George IV, Chiswick High Road was full of positive experiences and left a genuinely great impression on the whole team. It is really nice to see that customer suggestions and feedback are clearly being listened to and applied accordingly.nnGreat job to everyone involved — it truly shows.
Great all around pub with live music, tv to watch the football world cup, while enjoying a proper London tranditional atmosphere.nFish and chips would be my suggestion as that was really great and jummynDefinitely worth a stop for a beer and a meal
We had the most wonderful wedding reception at the George IV, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. The atmosphere was perfect—warm, inviting, and full of character—which made it such a beautiful setting for our celebration. The food was fantastic, and so many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it.nnWhat truly made the day exceptional, though, was the service. Caroline and Amber were absolutely amazing. Their coordination, calmness, and attention to detail meant everything ran seamlessly from start to finish. They were thoughtful, organised, and genuinely invested in making sure our day felt special. We’re so grateful for their hard work and kindness.nnThank you to the whole team at George IV for helping create a day we’ll always remember.
