For the price you pay. Its a good gym Has all the equipment. Can get quite busy and having to wait around but if u go during off peak times. Will be okay
The gym is easy to join and accessible, not bad if you just want to get a workout in. Some feedback: 1 BO in this gym is really bad. They should clean the place more regularly and open the doors to let in some fresh air. 2 Put weights back in it's designated place. The weights are often placed incorrectly or just left on the ground everywhere. I understand this is a collaborative effort with the staff and gym members but I think the gym should work a bit harder to try and enforce the rules.
* Gym either needs to be made larger or reduce membership as the gym get very busy between around 16:00-22:00. I have had to wait 30mins to use a bench press or squat rack on a few occasions. If you only go in the mornings or early afternoon this isn’t an issue but becomes very frustrating, especially when most of the cardio machines are empty. Could have a better use of space. * Can take a while to fix equipment. Can be very frustrating when it means there is now only one of a certain machine between the whole gym. * Cleanliness of the showers and changing rooms could be better. Always had a bad smell, litter etc * People constantly leaving weights around on the floor, can’t really fault the gym for this as it’s a collective effort but at the same time I’ve never seen this rule enforced. * Staff that I have interacted with have been helpful, though I don’t think this is staffed very much after mid afternoon - just from my own experience. If this gym wasn’t as busy I’d probably give it 3 or 4 stars since it is very cheap, and it being in the town centre is to be expected.
Staff are unhelpful and rude. Toilets are always jammed and blocked and stink, never maintained. Showers are dirty, not fit for farm animals to wash themselves. Gym equipment and facilities are always out of order. A single water fountain has been out of order for last 3 months. Lazy staff, lazily run, not a good representation of the gym group. Cancelled my membership for the JD gym which is much better
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IN THIS GYM!!!!! Absolute S*ithole! The gym is never tidy despite having signs which are not even followed by employees . The “staff” are non existent or do F’all but stand around and talk doing the bare minimum. Changing room is always locked and you have to constantly type in your pin just to gain access. Equipment is either broken, faulty or just in disrepair. Hooks are fixed to equipment with no spare ones so certain equipment you have no flexibility over using or doing a straight forward exercise on. No studio Changing rooms and toilets are so disgusting that I have put off using the gym in the mornings as per my regular routine. Faulty pin code keypads and with staff never around there are always a handful of people outside trying to get in on a daily basis. I put up with this poor excuse of a gym due to paying £10 a month for two months. I will not be continuing my membership into Feb 23. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY IN THIS GYM!!!!!
The facilities are okay on the whole, you definitely get your money's worth, it's good that it's 24 hours. BUT..... 1 it gets REALLY busy in there, at certain times i felt like there was more people in there than there was equipment to use, which leads to my 2nd issue. 2 i as a larger woman, personally felt uncomfortable at this gym, the majority of the equipment is really close together, so i took to going to the gym at 3am so that i could workout without feeling like i was surrounded, but it just wasn't feasible to do a 3am workout then a 12 hour work day, so i had to find a new gym where i felt comfortable. 3 it STINKS of body odour in there, it was VERY overpowering. 4 equipment is out of order for months at a time. 5 personally i don't feel this is a gym for women, even when i went at 3am, the men would just stare and make me feel uncomfortable. Just overall an unpleasant atmosphere in my opinion, even my husband, who goes to the gym 5 days a week, and has done for 20+ years, says that this gym is the worst he's ever been in for a bad atmosphere.
I'm editing my ranking of the gym group Luton because the classes advertised on the app for the Luton branch never hold. Plus they never inform you that it would not hold. For the past 2 months I have not seen one member of staff on site at the gym Luton. If you don't want to hold classes, don't advertise them.
Good enough with all the equipments required. But annoying that some people leave their weights everywhere without putting them back. Most helpful member of staff and great trainer is Pammy. When I first came I didn’t know she worked there but she was so so helpful and I was so nervous as a new member not knowing where anything was in the gym. My comfort has increased overtime and Pam is always helpful.
Been going here for a few years now, and ever since the old management left things have gone downhill. For the ultimate basics it's OK, alot of equipment will be unserviced and old, some out of order equipment will remain out of order for a very long time. Even though through the day staff is supposed to be around, be prepared to not find anyone during the day to help you. Overall 2/5
been there a few times as a new member but quit, the stench in the shower is unbearable, the shower stalls have broken towel holders and the locks barely close, you're lucky if you get a working shower
