In general I like PureGym, I've got multigym membership as I'm driving around and this one is biggest I've seen I've been to Northolt, Slough, Finchley, Fulham Broadway-smallest, Staines-very big in most of them I'm using cross'trainers, treadmills, steps, "ski", not too much of heavy weight lifting. Always space, clean, all of them showers are top class, can't complain! Asked few questions to the guys random well built guys and they are very helpful! So I can't wait to get fit...
Love that there is now a female only section as it helps with space and getting on machines. Only problem with this area is lack of storage, nowhere for barbells or plates to be racked away. Need to start managing members more with put away/parking policies as there is still a HUGE issue with weights not being put away and parking in front of the fire exits.
It was great first time back at the gym for a while. First time at PureGym, good facilities, added bonus having a womens only gym within the gym, not quite confident enough to share a space with the elite yet. Can pay as I go or every month so not tired to a contract.
Won’t bother attending… facilities are dirty, showers are dirty and the gym is so crammed with the new women’s only they are building it’s unreal. Wi-Fi also down. Machines never work.. JD gym is the same price and also a lot better.. lost me as a customer… advance warning if you do join
Been going to this gym for years. Very good overall. They often look to improve the site with new equipment and restructuring. Only improvement could be a refreshed changing room
Not many cleaning stations, some have been removed, making it a bit less pleasant. Who doesn't like clean equipment instead of sweaty equipment?
It's one of the best PureGym branches across Greater London area. Atmosphere very fresh and relaxed. Anyone who says it's too busy or you can't find equipment is probably having a bad day anyway. There's a studio if you want to get a quiet space and usually the machines are available. If you want training, all the staff are generally quite friendly here. Nothing bad to say about L&D PureGym, I see a variety of people coming in to use this place regularly as their main gym, and it's a positive environment for both advanced and beginner users, male and female. The users are also generally quite good natured as I've been to different PureGym branches i.e. in London and it's not the same everywhere trust me, some places are quite competitive. The locker rooms are safer here than average PG branches in London where there are a lot of break-ins. Very rarely, faults with the plumbing causes unannounced closures. Females only section has considerably killed the vibe since last Summer, when it was a lot more busy and lively, and made the machine section cut in half unfortunately. Competing with JD on the women's only thing was a bad move, as not having one was the main thing making L&D cool IMO. Generally a good place to hang out if you want to socialise lots of younger people/users or if you are purely focused on getting in your sets and moving on. Definitely recommend the classes for newcomers, try Sweat with trainer Ben Whaley or sometimes James, it's a great session.
Excellent 24 hour gym. Spacious, clean and great range workout machines.
This Pure Gym has to be the one PG that has only archaic equipments disposed all over the play. There’s a strange toilet and have yet to see the changing area. Overall just confusing layout. I’ve just got an PG Newsletter email stating it’ll be refurbished in the coming months. I’d be long gone then.
Good location with plenty parking. Has fair few equipment. Cons are it smells sometimes, floor is unlevel so dumbbells just roll down.
