The swimming pool sauna and steam room were good. The massage seemed very short but it was good too. There's ncp parking near by and we got our ticket validated so saved some money otherwise the parking would have been too expensive! The staff were nice, only thing I didn't like was there were too many children in the pool and changing area etc which took away that spa and relaxing feeling but also because its a gym and leisure centre kind of place so..... I am not saying anything against children going for swimming what m trying to say is if you are looking for exclusive spa experience then go somewhere else.
They gym itself is lovely. Some equipment may need maintaining at higher standard. I visited the club today as a new member around 11am. I found the receptionist to be unpleasant and unhelpful. She gave me no introduction to the gym or where I should be heading for classes. Very unwelcoming. No customer service and when I asked her questions she didn't even bother look at me and answered with a dismissive "yeah". Unnecessarily rude as a receptionist. Please give her some customer service training as she lacks and will possibly make me as spaying member bot want to return.
This gym is quite disappointing and over the years I have been a member for it’s just been going downhill. Always something or the other is faulty/damaged and repair takes forever 3/6 months. Showers are very grimy they just give it a hose wash end of the day nothing else. Needs a proper deep clean. I would definitely not be part of the gym as a direct member paying £55+ it’s just horrendous!! The corporate discount just about makes it passable. The staff are nice although complaints/feedback are not really taken onboard. They have started some work now since the new JD Gym is opening and they will definitely be loosing a large percentage of members to them.
Went there for my first time, I would consider it a mid state health centre. Has what you need for weight loss and general fitness although I expected the main workout area to be slightly bigger. When it comes to actual fitness equipment for muscle building I would not recommend if that's all you seek as it is clear they do prioritize general health equipment for cardio over muscle building. A decent sauna which I personally do not use often so for the price it all depends what you're looking for. For a healthy centre it's adequate but for a general gym it just lacks alot of equipment that gym of half or even 1/3 of the price would provide. I would genuinely recommend getting a day pass in order for you to check it out first and see if you'll like it before signing up.
Don't bother...broken ceiling tiles light bulbs they don't replace for days if not months on end. Lockers and showers that are constantly broken, showers are dirty and smell and don't me started on the rude staff just been spoken too like a peice of dirt over the phone. Wouldn't waste your money.
Really low quality, especially for the price. Locked into a long contract. Facilities such as shower are really disgusting, machines are broken constantly, changing rooms arent that great. For the price you can find other gyms in the area that are far better. The pool and other facilities really arent worth the price, especially considering how locked the contract is, especially nowadays since its so easy to find a better gym that has no contract requirement. I dont recommend this gym. Far too mediocre for the price.
Poor hygiene in the pool facilities and be very careful when taking a membership. You’ll be signing a 12 month contract that can’t be cancelled even if the gym is not meeting their end of the contract. Wouldn't recommend at all.
Lots of stuff broken or out of use. Staff rude n disrespecful. While doing padwork i was rudely ask to move to studio room because' it is very distractive'. Lady used words 'u must'. We pay for gym 45 pounds per month even some people 60 so we allowed to use hower we like i think
The Gym timings are not flexible for everyone for the subscription money they charge , equipment is so less compared to other gyms and cleanliness in the changing room is just below standards.
I asked to love my appointment as I couldn’t make it to the day I had a last minute work commitment and couldn’t get out of it They said I would need to pay £15 and that I should have changed 48hours prior …. Thanks for ruining my experience and Christmas gift from friends
