The magnificent Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant is often described as the most beautiful dining room in the world and leaves an indelible impression on all who dine there. The finest of British ingredients are cooked using Escoffier-inspired classical recipes.

Afternoon Tea at The Ritz is a quintessential British experience; a rare and wonderful tradition that has stood the test of time.

In 2002, The Ritz London was awarded a Royal Warrant by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales for Banqueting and Catering Services, becoming the only hotel in the world to receive such an honour.

The hotel has six stunning private dining rooms, five of which are located in the William Kent House, the stunning Grade II listed townhouse adjoined to the hotel. The exquisite collections of lavishly decorated event rooms retain their original Italian Renaissance style décor.

My husband and I took my grandparents for afternoon tea at The Ritz last week. We had visited before, but we were keen to share the experience with them.nnOur visit started with the warmest of welcomes by the doormen, the mature gentleman in the top hat was delightful.nnOnce through the revolving doors we were directed to Palm Court. The room is beautifully decorated and the piano playing makes for an atmospheric and enjoyable experience.nnThe tea menu is extensive and the selection of sandwiches is generous. I had requested a vegetarian menu at the time of making the booking and this was managed sensitively throughout. The sandwiches and cakes are served first, and soon followed by the scones, cream and jam there are two scones per person. During the course of the afternoon tea an additional cake is served from a trolley, which comes to the table. The tea is plentiful and the service is excellent.nnWe enjoy the pomp and ceremony of the traditional afternoon tea and delight in the level of service and attention to detail. We would definitely recommend the experience and would visit again in the future.nnAccess is really easy as it is just a short walk from the Green Park underground station.nNote that there is a dress code, but this is easy to look up on the website and it is highlighted when booking.nNote that there is a service charge applied to the total bill of 12.5%.
My family and I had afternoon tea at the Ritz in London during vacation. The food was great. They give you so much. I didn't think i would get full off of it but I did. They give u a great selection of sandwiches, scones and desserts. There's something to choose that will cater to every palate. The tea is AMAZING. I honestly don't even drink tea, only sweet tea. But i thoroughly enjoyed the tea here. You have such a wide variety to choose from, I chose the hibiscus . The service, OUTSTANDING. everyone is so nice and attentive to you. I loved my 1st experience and would LOVE to come back.
nnThe afternoon tea at the Ritz Hotel in London was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we stepped into the stunning Palm Court, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and charm. The staff were attentive and made us feel like royalty, ensuring every detail was perfect.nnThe selection of teas was impressive, with something to suit every palate, and each cup was brewed to perfection. The finger sandwiches were fresh and delicious, with a delightful variety of fillings. The scones were the highlight for me – warm, light, and accompanied by the most delicious clotted cream and strawberry jam.nnThe pastries and cakes were exquisite, both in taste and presentation. Each bite was a testament to the skill and creativity of the pastry chefs. The live piano music added a touch of sophistication and made the experience even more memorable.nnOverall, the afternoon tea at the Ritz was a perfect blend of tradition and luxury. It was a delightful indulgence that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a quintessentially British experience in an iconic setting.
We tried the afternoon tea, and it was absolutely fabulous! I wish I never had to leave this place. The service is magnificent, the atmosphere is absolutely stunning. And the afternoon tea was so delicious. The teas were grate, the best teas I ever tasted. The sandwiches and the pastries was also delicious! I will definitely come back! You have to dress nice and act very proper at the table. It is a little bit stiff at first, but you'll get comfortable in a while.
We came for afternoon tea to celebrate my grandmothers birthday. Straight away the service was amazing the attention to detail was great too the service felt almost personal in a way. The pastry’s were lovely and knowingly brought us sandwiches according to our preference sheet !!! Lovely experience and be warned it gets very very busy
