The Globe Hotel

About

We have 37 rooms in total, including three famly rooms and a wheelchair access room with a walk in wet room. All our rooms are en-suite and have free WI-FI

Story

An historic Georgian coaching inn, first recorded in 1650 as Globe Inn, in the heart of old King’s Lynn, Globe Hotel offers the best aspects of a modern hotel and bar. Relax in our beautiful garden and watch the River Great Ouse slide by.

Music is played in the bar until midnight on a Thursday and bank holiday Sunday and until 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. Music can be heard in our first-floor rooms and in all of our family rooms. If you prefer a quieter room (some are available), please specify at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

We have 37 rooms in the hotel, including a triple room, three family rooms and a wheelchair access room with a wet room, situated near the lift. All rooms are en suite with tea- and coffee-making facilities, Freeview TV, hairdryer and unlimited free Wi-Fi. Check-in is from 2pm, check-out by 11am.

The Hanseatic town of King’s Lynn has plenty of historical places to explore, while most visitors return to enjoy the nearby stunning countryside, including the West Norfolk coastline: a mass of sand dunes, reed beds and big skies. Further along the coast, Old Hunstanton, Brancaster and Holkham, in particular, have world-renowned beaches. Venture out to visit the Norfolk coastline, with the Royal Sandringham Estate just 15 minutes’ drive away, while, just between Sandringham and Hunstanton, you will find the beautiful farm and gardens known as Norfolk Lavender, and Caithness Crystal, a 10-minute drive away.

I stayed here over night on a Sunday. Very friendly and helpful receptionist along with all of the bar and waiting staff. Food was being served until 23.00 and I had the huge Empire state burger served with chip's which was very filling and good quality for the price as it also included a pint for an extra £1.00 The room was a twin and included a tv, shower/bath, towels, soap, shower gel wardrobe with hangers, kettle with bottled water. Tea bags, coffee, milk. The room was also very clean.

Lovely relaxed place to eat. Service is prompt and food is always piping hot and fresh. Large beer garden. Plenty of tables in a lovely historic building.

Awful, the food arrived without the drinks and we complained twice, my lunch was taken away without me finishing it I was just given a coffee cup and the waitress hurried off before I could ask her where the machine was so was left aimlessly walking around looking. The manager came to apologize he said that poor service was because they were busy but the place wasn't even half full God help them if they ever manage to fill the place. The one star is for cleanliness, couldn't fault them on that.

Not enough pillows for me personally and the breakfast wasn't great, my wife's porridge looked as if it hadn't been cooked and my black pudding was far too crispy. But all in all for the money you can't really complain, it is after all a Wetherspoons.

It's a classic spoons. The service for food is usually pretty speedy, but can be slow when very busy. Nice atmosphere around the corner with the booth seats. Luxury toilets.
