I love this place, trout / fly fishing is the only way to fish, been there recently to revamp ogy's bar and the restaurant opening soon
A mixture of residential home's, 2nd home's and holiday let's on a private development next to a series of lakes used for water skiing and fishing. Very tranquil.Rooms: 5/5
Fantastic weekend, beautiful weather and peaceful surroundings along with a real log cabin. Birds and wildlife galore. Cannot wait for our next visit.
Fantastic place to stay, owners can't do enough for you and are only a 5 minute walk from the lodge if there are any problems. Proper home from home.
Wonderful place to get away for a bit. Our lodge was lovely. Nice and quiet
had a wonderful peaceful week here, a lovely presented lodge with a very generous sized lounge and a wonderful dining table that can easily seat 10, topped off with wonderful clean and bubbly hot tub to relax in the evenings.
Lovely fishing lakesLocation: 5/5
Love this place, very spacious, comfortable beds, excellent kitchen. My concerns are the two bedrooms off the open plan living space. However a delightful garden overlooking one of the lakes, spacious jacuzzi and a great outside decked area means that the overall experience of the lodge and surrounding countryside make it a great place to spend time with the family.
Wonderful place to escape back to nature seeing wildlife everywhere you look. It's one of the few places that I/we would be more than happy to return to. Our first morning we were greeted by the Cookoo courous. Then a couple of swans with six very young sygnets, oh so much details to take in & all so near to home. The lakes were well kept. We did find the use of 4x4 motorcycles by the fishermen's children to be very annoying & spoilt an otherwise perfect location.
Bought a 48 hour fishing session... We traveled with colleagues, hoping to have a great time and of course catch either carp or catfish... When fishing started, serious problems began..The teenagers, with two speedboats, ignoring the fact that there are also people on the shore who are relaxing and fishing, started turning the wheels around the lake at all speeds.I had to quickly pull the fishing gear out of the water so that the teenagers would not damage it while sailing..The fishing session has become unacceptable.Fishing tackle, feed, bait, trip to the lake, 48 hour ticket price, my time, lose... Willow Croft Fisheries, doing good business by climbing over people's heads... Good luck to you ... so on.. Thanks for a great 6 hour fishing session
