Superb pub and great food. I had the surf and turf, which was lovely, should be for £27. The food took a while to arrive at the table as the food was cooked fresh. The other meal I ordered was battered Haddock, and chips with mushy peas. Wow, the fish was delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and the bar has a good selection of wine. There is ample parking around the back of the pub, and the interior of the establishment is lovely and gives it a good old vibe with the wood burner burning away, making it feel homely. Would recommend this place for a great family meal. Will be going back to this place. 8/10.

Great food, great service, nice cost pub after a long walk. Dog friendly for well behaved dogs and I called the day before to book a table. I was given a great table out the way where the dogs could sleep underneath. Thank you.
Great traditional pub atmosphere, friendly service, good food at fair prices and dog friendly. You need to book at busy times so we're not the only ones to love it.

We made a detour on our way up to Whitby to visit this pub. A lovely rural village setting, and a warm welcome from the bar staff. Good well-priced pub food, with some decent choices for vegetarians.

Very nice Sunday roast. But Yorkshire puds slightly burnt and plate swimming in gravy. The gravy should come in small jugs. Staff efficient and pleasant. Will visit again but will ask for gravy to be in a jug . Enjoyed.
Fantastic service. Food is outstanding. Booked to go back next week. Ticked all boxes for me and my family
