Louise & Russ would like to welcome new and old customers to The Cross Keys. A traditional community pub, serving a selection of premium lagers, bitters, wines and spirits and homemade traditional pub food. We offer a selection of 5 Cask Ales - including, Black Sheep, Theakston Black Bull, Jennings Cumberland local beers from Half Moon Brewery, Rudgate, Great Heck and many more. Nice traditional pub, social distancing is being very well managed. Good range of beers and space to sit outside when the weather is good.
Couple of nice points of Guinness , standard pub really , hot a but sweary when football team come in & not sure they were distancing correctly but you do have your temp taken on entry , I'll go back
They check your temp on entry which is good, but 2 pints of Carling and 2 packets of crisps for £10?? I won't be rushing back. The table we had wasnt clean and there were bits of food on the floor under the table not ideal.
Very nice child friendly pub and the staff always go above and beyond.
Sunday roast was amazing! Every bite was full of flavor from the perfectly cooked steak to the sliced carrots. Will definently come here again and reccomend to friends.

Food good, service poor...and this is why I cant rate this place more than 2 stars
Rang just after 1900hrs on a Sunday to be told they’ve stopped serving food. Doesn’t say this anywhere on website so glad we rang ahead.
Only had drinks but very welcoming and all staff very friendly. Taking social distancing seriously which was very reassuring.
