Visited as a party of five for lunch and had a really good time. The salt and pepper chicken wings were delicious, vegan burger good, chips could be better. Chicken and halloumi skewer dish needs finesse; it’s just a lot of things on a plate at the moment and would be better served gyros style. Staff very helpful but not all up to speed on allergens in dishes. Would return!
What's not to love about this great gastro pub. Awesome staff great food and lovely lovely beer. They didn't even mind me and my mate walking around as mammals
First visit to this really friendly and comfortable bar/restaurant. A treat from my daughter for Fathers day. I knew from the moment I sat down I would want to visit again. My daughter had been before & she asked when was the last time I had a traditional Sunday lunch.....wow ! I'm glad I followed her lead ...They even had my favourite pint Timothy Taylors Landlord.....the food was cooked to perfection and the starters were imaginative too. The Frozen mop is in an idyllic setting and its a definite favourite for me as well as my daughter. The Yorkshire pudding is the biggest I've ever encountered
Lovely location and the food was absolutely spot on. Really ggod quality. The Rhubarb crumble is something to behold.!
As a family of 10 we have visited for a fantastic meal! We had pre ordered but no one remembered what they ordered and the staff were amazing making sure all food allergens were catered for and everyone was served a meal they asked for with any changes being made promptly. The food was fantastic and served quickly despite a full restaurant and there was a fantastic atmosphere. We would highly recommend!
We went for dinner and really enjoyed the experience. The food was superb with the soup very welcoming on a cold winters night. Our friends thought the Sticky Beef Salad was delightful and the Thermidor Special and Gammon mains were excellent. Our evening was enhanced by the team at the Mop whose service ensured that this will not be our last visit.
My friend and I have been for lunch today. It was really relaxed, we didn’t feel rushed at all. David the manerger that was in today was extremely friendly and obliging. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for an enjoyable lunch
Great Sunday roast, was a bit disappointed they couldn't make a Yorkshire pudding without milk in it but I guess you can't have everything. The meat etc was really good and was stuffed by the end of it, some quite nice drinks too so was a very enjoyable Sunday!
Often go for meals and usually excellent..on this occasion though it wasn't up to its usual standard..the meal wasn't hot and looked as if it had been rushed onto the plate.. could have been because it was busy as it was about 7 in the evening but that should not impact on our meal. We won't be visiting for a while unfortunately..especially evening time on a Sunday. The staff are still as nice.
We went for an evening meal. The restaurant was not busy. We ordered a starter and a main course. The food was delicious to but the waiting time to be served was unacceptable. We decided to skip desserts and went home. What shame this is a beautiful place but service needs to sharper folks. We are locals but it may be sometime before we return
