Great Sunday lunch outside in the sunny beer garden. Very good and attentive staff. Full order Inc drinks at table. Owners floated around and checked everyone happy. Great place, very good quiet location. Good quality very good and reasonably priced. Fab drinks selection. Highly recommended.
Lovely pub with great food. Well presented and prepared. Highly recommend the hot wings and the crispy squid as starters. All the mains were great and the service was relaxed and friendly throughout.Food: 5/5
Lovely food led pub with large undercover outside area. Sensible food. The soup of the day was Ale & Onion topped with toasted cheese and crispy lardons. Best and most substantial soup I have ever eaten . Spoon could stand up in the bowl of thick onions. Traditional roasts after and cheese and biscuits, one portion enough for two. Big car park and friendly service 10/10.
Excellent meal, lovely staff, and very attractive environment and atmosphere
Fabulous food . I had fish and chips and thr fish melted in my mouth. Lovely selection of beers I had cumbrian and unicorn IPAs. Very cosy country pub .Food: 5/5
Excellent lunch today, first visit, will definately return Food: 5/5
Good food .. we had to wait over an hour to get our meal for 9 people a birthday. Staff are excellent. Some of the meals were not hot, and they had to be reheated in the microwave. Very pet friendly and parking is tight to be honest.. I think if they were not as busy everything would have been perfect.
Visited on Sunday 18th Dec 2022. Our first visit and would most definitely recommend. Very festive and friendly welcoming staff and Landlords. We had the festive menu and it was delicious. Fantastic, atmosphere, and obviously a very popular place and for good reason. You must book so not disappointed. Dog friendly too. Thank you for a relaxing afternoon with our family and a very Merry to you all.
This was our second visit 4 days after our first meal which was excellent hence returning for our lunch on a Monday .This time is was as if we were in a different pub the food served was extremely poor and when we commented to the staff we were treated with indifference and told the chef would be informed. The fish was on the verge of being off tasting fishy if that makes sense the lamb was so tough I would still be chewing it now if I had continued to eat it . If booking a table here I would ask which chef was working the good one or the bad one
Visited today we chose the roast beef dinner and the steak and ale pie. Both were delicious. Good service only fault was pub being dog friendly and not happy about dogs being so close to the table whilst we were eatingFood: 5/5
