The pub was very nice and we found the staff to be very friendly. They have Asahi on tap which was quite refreshing. Went there for a Sunday roast, the meat was really good however we found that there was a bit too much cabbage with the roast. I would rate the meat a 5 out of 5 and the veggies a 4 out of 5. If you go here I would recommend getting the Short Rib Burger which tasted amazing. We had to wait for about 5 to 10 minutes to get the a table on a Sunday around 2:00to 2:30 PM, which wasn't bad at all.
The Florence is a charming pub with a cozy atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. The spacious outdoor garden is perfect for enjoying a pint on a sunny day. The food is consistently good, offering classic pub fare with a modern twist. Friendly service and a relaxed vibe make it a go-to spot for both locals and visitors.
Came to this pub a few weeks ago to watch the football and the atmosphere was amazing!.nnStaff were amazingly quick with the service, considering the place was packed.nThe food was really good and not overly priced.nnThe new manager seems to be doing a wonderful job :.nnWill definitely be returning:
We ordered added steak on the salad medium rare and it came out well done like leather.nDrinks were good, pie was tasty.nFish and chips, the fish wasn't super crispy.nBurger was bland but fries were crispy.nnNice venue and service overall. Food could use some improvements.
Really upsetting experience trying to have a roast at the Florence on Sunday.nWe ordered 2 vegan roasts and 2 glasses of red wine while we waited. 40 minutes later staff came over to tell us that they were out of vegan roasts. Obviously this was frustrating because we had waited for our meals and now had left it too late to have a roast anywhere else and had been looking forward to this all day. The waitress said they would give us a refund for the roast however, we expressed that we were in a difficult position because we had waited so long for food and now had to find somewhere else to eat and wait all over again.nThe waitress was understanding and offed 2 other meals. The only other meal was the ‘ Charred broccoli Caesar salad, seaweed burnt leek crumb’. We waited another 10 mins before they delivered some basic romaine lettuce leaves, and some overcooked broccoli.nIt was actually insulting and upsetting when they served us this. They had obviously done this to spite us and it just made us feel so rubbish, not to mention we were very hungry by this point.nI really liked the roast I had here before but this experience has made me question if I want to go back if this is how customers are treated.
